Fans poured into the MCI Center in DC, awaiting the famous Backstreet Boys to come out on stage. Among the crazed fans were a group of five juniors from the University of Maryland…Kerri, Desiree, Mandy, April and Shelby. They had won five tickets to the BSB concert from a local radio station and were seated in the very first row, center stage.

Kerri and Desiree were probably the most excited out of the five of them since they knew everything there was to know about the boys. Kerri was in love with Nick, Desiree with AJ, Mandy with Kevin, April with Brian, and Shelby with Howie.

"This is going to be so damn cool!" shouted Desiree, holding up her poster that read "Des 'n AJ 4-Ever!"

The arena suddenly went black. April and Mandy were looking around, but saw nothing. A sudden burst of sound from a nearby speaker started playing "Larger Than Life" Fans began screaming as a giant silver dome rose from the center of the stage. AJ's loud shout could be heard from inside the dome. Des began screaming like crazy, jumping up from her seat.

With aloud bang, the five Backstreet Boys, jumped out from inside the dome and immediately went into their first dance number. They were dressed in these futuristic silver-metallic costumes, similar to the ones in the "Larger Than Life" music video. Howie was laughing for some reason until Kerri looked up and her sign was upside down. He tried to keep singin and dancing without laughing, but it was no use.

The concert seemed to go on forever. They went through the entire Millennium album, with an all boys choir on "The Perfect Fan". It soon came time for the finale, their last song of the concert.

AJ went up to the front of the stage, "How's all the ladies doin' tonight?"

All of the girls started screaming and shouting.

"That's what I thought," AJ said with a laugh. "For this last song, we need five of the finest ladies, to come up here and sit, so we can sing to them."

Desiree immediately began screaming. Of course we all knew why she wanted to be picked, she was so pressed over AJ, that she made it clearly obvious to him.

"Ok, I got some," Nick said walking over to where the five of them were sitting. "We'll take you five, right there."

"Us?" Kerri said, about ready to pass out.

"Yeah, come on yp here," Nick said, offering them a hand.

Kerri was the first to jump out of her seat and run to the steps. A security guard let them pass. Nick took Kerri's shaking hand and led her up the steps. The others soon followed. Mandy went straight to Kevin, who presented her with a chair. She gratefully sat down. April practically ran over to Brian and jumped onto the chair. Desiree went over to AJ, gave him a kiss on the cheek and a hug before sitting down. Nick led Kerri over to his chair, letting her sit down. Shelby ran over to Howie then sat down.

"Tall thing aren't you?" Howie joked, Shelby was 5'11".

The music began to play and the boys stepped out in front of the girls. The song was "I'll Never Break Your Heart". They started singing and the girls sang along quietly. The five of them went back a few steps and stood next to the girls, looking down at them singing. Kerri was blushing a little bit because this was the closest she had ever been to Nick Carter. Desiree kept staring at AJ, not letting him out of her sight.

The song ended and the girls perfect dream of actually meeting them…had ended. They slowly walked off the stage and back to their seats to grab their things.

"Uh, you five. Come with me." A security guard said.

"Now what did we do." April mumbled.

They followed the security guard backstage and down a lit hallway. Backup dancers and some of the stage crew passed them as they continued walking down the hallway.

The security guard opened a door and told them to go in. Shelby walked in first and stopped before she was even two steps inside the room.

"Oh my God." She whispered.

Mandy shoved her through the door and saw what she was staring at, the Backstreet Boys were inside, talking and snacking. The other three girls walked through the door and stood there, staring rudely at them.

"Do you guys want autographs?" Brian asked, holding up a handful of pictures.

"Yeah, sure." April said, walking over to him.

"First, names." Brian said, looking up at her from his seat at the couch.

"Oh, I'm April. And this is Kerri, Desiree, Mandy, and Shelby." She said, pointing to the rest of her friends behind her.

"Nice to meet you all." AJ said, taking a drink from his water bottle.

Likewise." Mandy said quietly.

"Do you guys want to sit down?" Howie asked, scooting over on the couch.

"Sure." Shelby said excitedly and sat down in between Howie and Kevin. Mandy gave Shelby and evil glare that made Shelby immediately move over. Mandy squeezed in next to Kevin. April sat next to Brian on the other couch and Kerri sat next to her, making her scoot over so she could sit next to Nick.

"Hey, where am I going to sit?" Desiree whined.

"You can sit with me cutie." AJ said, sitting back in the recliner…pulling her into his lap.

Holy shit, Desiree thought, I'm actually sitting on his lap! Kerri looked over at her and winked. Desiree's face was turning a blushing shade of red, realizing that it wasn't a dream.

"Kerri, did you notice that your sign was upside down?" Howie commented.

Kerri blushed a little, "Yeah, but I didn't notice until you started laughing."

April watched as Brian signed the five group shots of them and passed them over to Kevin. Kevin signed themand passed them on to Howie. Once they had all finished signing them, each of the girls got a newly autographed photo.

"So, what did you all think of our concert?" Kevin asked, in his deep voice.

"The best I've ever been to!" Kerri said with a smile on her face.

"Well how many have you been to?" Nick asked, looking over at her.

"All together…10." Kerri answered.

"10?" Nick said with a shocked look on his face.

"Yeah, I'm your biggest fan!" She said happily.

"And just how many website do you have Kerri?" Desiree asked, looking at her friend.

"About 6," Kerri said quietly.

Nick opened his mouth to say something, but was interupted by a security guard walking in the room.

"Your limo is here." He told them.

"Ok, thnaks." Brian said, getting up.

"We should be going." Shelby said, also getting up.

"Yeah, it's getting late and I have a mid-term tomorrow." Mandy said sadly.

Desiree hopped up off AJ's lap, even though Kerri and the rest of her friend knew she would rather stay there.

"It was nice meeting you girls." Kevin said, stretching his arms.

"Nice meeting you." Mandy said with a smile.

The five girls quietly left the room.

"OK, what was wrong with them?" AJ asked, taking another drink from his water bottle.

"Huh?" Nick said, grabbing a handful of chips from a bowl on the table next to the couch.

"Usually, the fans that come back here are crazy. You know, loud and obnoxious. But they weren't," he said.

"True, they were kind of quiet. But they were nice to." Brian said, wipping a bead of sweat from his forehead. "What's wrong with you Nick?"

Nick was staring of into space, "Huh?"

"What's wrong?" Brian repeated.

"Nothing," he said, which was a lie.

OK, we'd better get going, I'm dying for a shower and some sleep." Kevin said, going out the door and out the back way.

AJ, Brian and Howie followed him. Nick sat on the couch for a minute. He couldn't help but think of Kerri and the others. Why hadn't they jumped and screamed when they had seen them? They were all really nice, but there was something about Kerri he liked. He didn't' know what, but he had an idea of how to find out…

"Nick, you comin'?" AJ asked, walking back to get him.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec," Nick said quietly, getting up from the couch. I'll find you Kerri, he thought, I will.
