Stephanie and AJ just watched Nick leave. AJ heard Stephanie sigh.
"This just hasn't been your night huh?" AJ said laughing.
"No it hasn't." Stephanie said smiling back.
"Well, I can make it your night." AJ said picking Stephanie up in his arms.
"AJ, put me down!" she told AJ hitting him. Laughing, AJ put Stephanie down. Stephanie hit AJ again and walked into the kitchen. She propped herself up on the countertop.
"Why can't Nick just listen? He always assumes the worst." Stephanie said. AJ nodded.
"Try being with him 24/7." AJ said.
"He'll tell Brian, and it'll make Brian hate me." Stephanie said starting to get upset.
"Brian doesn't have a bone in his body that could hate you. Trust me girl." AJ said hugging Stephanie.
"I hope you're right. I really do." Stephanie whispered in AJ"s ear.
Nick sped all the way to the hospital. "That girl sure knows just how to push my buttons." he told himself. "And AJ, God he can be such a jerk sometimes." Even if there was another explanation then what Nick came up with, he didn't care and he didn't want to know. He pulled his truck into the hospital parking lot and stormed all the way up to Brian's room.
"Where's the fire?" Brian asked when Nick walked in. Nick shot Brian a glare.
"At Stephanie's." he answered angrily. Brian looked at Nick.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Brian asked Nick.
"It means, I walked into Steph's place and saw her and AJ on the couch."
"What? Were they making out or what?" Brian asked feeling his heart break. "Everyone except me," he thought sadly.
"I don't know. Probably both. I walked in and they were lying on the couch together." Nick told Brian. Brian just starred up at the ceiling. Once Nick left he would call Stephanie and find out what happened.
AJ and Stephanie were still in the kitchen talking. AJ noticed a picture of Stephanie and her parents.
"Where are your parents?" AJ asked picking up the picture.
"They're down in Georgia for the weekend." she answered AJ.
"They let you stay by yourself?" he asked.
"They trust me, besides Nick was suppose to stay the weekend." Stephanie said sighing. AJ nodded. He didn't know what to say.
"Look AJ, I'm beat. I should be heading to bed. I'll call you tomorrow." Stephanie told AJ heading towards the stairs.
"I'm spending the night." AJ told Stephanie. She stopped dead in her tracks and turned around.
