"Excuse me?" Stephanie asked in disbelief. She was just ready to slap AJ. How could he make a pass at her, when she asked him to help her? Maybe this was the kind of help he had in mind. AJ started laughing. Stephanie couldn't figure out what was so funny.

"Steph," AJ said having a hard time breathing, because he was laughing so hard. "I'm only staying the night, cause I can't leave you alone."

"And why not?" Stephanie said putting her hands on her hips and glaring at AJ.

"Not after what happened tonight girl." AJ told her. Stephanie let out a sigh of relief. Which only made AJ laugh again.

"You thought I wanted to sleep with you." AJ said laughing.

"I did not!" Stephanie said defending herself.

"Did so!"

"Did not," Stephanie said sticking out her tongue. "I'll get you blankets so you can sleep on the couch." Stephanie said and headed upstairs. Something inside was telling her, this was going to be a mistake, but she just ignored it.

Nick finally left the hospital around 10:30. Two hours after visiting hours were over. None of the nurses said anything to him though. Something was eating at him. Why was AJ there? He wanted to know, but he couldn't call Stephanie. "Can't let her know I'm interested." he told himself. Nick set down his keys on the counter. Nick went and flopped on the couch and turned on the television.

Stephanie was upstairs getting a blanket and pillow for AJ, when she heard the phone ring. She raced into her parents room and picked up the receiver.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Steph! You hafta change it to the news now!" a voice demanded on the other end.

"What? Why Nick?" she asked.

"Just do it!" Stephanie did as Nick told her and changed it to the news.

"I don't see the point to-" Stephanie started but stopped. She looked at the television and dropped the phone.

Nick listened to sobs. He knew Stephanie dropped the phone. He had heard it clang when it hit the floor, but he wasn't going to hang up.

"Hello!" a deep voice said happily on the other end.

"Sup Bone?" Nick asked.

"Oh not much. Waiting for Stephanie to come back downstairs." AJ answered Nick.

"I think you should probably go up there." Nick told AJ.
