Ten minutes later the girls made their way to the dining room. Everyone had already started eating, so the girls quickly made their way to the open seats. Michelle smiled as she saw what they were having, french bread, salad, and roast beef. The three girls never had a meal like that when they were in the adoption center.
"This is really good Mrs McLean." Marie said, after she had finished eating.
"Well, thank you Marie." Mrs McLean smiled. "Are you sure you girls had enough to eat, you barely ate anything."
"We are fine, but Olivia is going to need a glass of milk in a few minutes." She informed Mrs McLean, as she used her napkin to clean off the little girls hands.
"Which reminds me, we would wondering if you could watch Olivia, so we can take Marie and Michelle to the club with us." Nick said, wanting to leave as soon as possible.
"That would be no problem, these girls deserve to have a fun night out. You probably didn't get to do that much before because of Olivia?" Mrs McLean said, totally unaware that Michelle flinched as she said it.
"No, not really." Michelle said quietly, staring down at her plate. Marie picked up Michelle's vibe and came to her rescue.
"Well, since we are going out, we need to go change. Thanks for dinner Mrs McLean." Marie said quickly, standing up. Michelle followed her back upstairs to their room. They could hear Mrs McLean playing with Olivia downstairs. Marie went to her bag and pulled out her favorite outfit. A huge pair of beige pants, covered with pockets and patches of gray material, a white tank top, and a gray vest. Michelle took a little longer, but finally picked out an outfit. A pair of semi-tight black pants with a fabric that looked like leather, but wasn't, and a silver shirt that when the light hit it, it sparkled with about 20 different colors.
"Let's go!" Marie said happily, after putting on some lipgloss. The two girls ran back downstairs, to only find four guys in the kitchen.
"Where did Aj go?" Michelle asked. The other guys all looked at each other smiling.
"Aj takes longer to get ready than most girls." Brian laughed, "He'll be down in a minute." Marie hardly stopped herself from cracking up at Brian. He was making faces and imatating Aj.
"Look mommy!" Olivia said running up to Michelle. "Little Mumaid!" The little girl showed her the book in her hand. Ariel was on the cover of it.
"Wow, did you find that here?" Michelle said, kneeling down on the floor next to her. Olivia nodded and gave the book to Michelle. Michelle sat down crossed legged so the little girl could climb in her lap. She had just started reading when Aj came downstairs.
"Olivia, how would you like me to read that to you?" Mrs McLean asked, Olivia just stared at her.
"I'm going out for a little while. Remember, you told Marie that was ok?" Michelle said, Olivia nodded her head and hugged her. Michelle pulled herself off the floor and joined the others. Michelle, Marie, and Howie got in Aj's car, while the other three jumped into Brian's jeep.
Aj turned on the radio, I Want It That Way blared from the radio. Michelle and Marie listened in awe to the song.
"Wow," Marie said when it was over, "that was a great song, I wonder who sings it?" Aj and Howie exchanged knowing smiles in the front seats. So they haven't heard of us, Aj thought, this could be fun.
"It's a group called the Backstreet Boys." Aj told them, almost laughing.
"They are really talented." Michelle commented.
"I have, um, their cd back at the house, if you want to hear it later." Aj said, looking straight ahead at the road, not wanting her to see the amused look on his face.
"Yeah, that'd be cool." Michelle smiled, thinking how nice her new brother was turning out to be. A few minutes later they pulled into the club. The Tornado was a huge one story building with a line that wrapped around it and down the street.
"How are we going to get into there?" Marie asked, not knowing she was with five guys that could get into almost any place they wanted to.
"We know some people who work here." Aj lied, knowing it was the other way around. They walked to the front of the line and were let right in. The guys smiled at the amazed look on Marie and Michelle's faces. The club was loud and there where people everywhere. It reminded Michelle of old school dances, just with more and older people.
"Come on Michelle, let's go check out the place." Marie yelled, over the loud music. Michelle nodded and they made their way through the crowd, losing the boys in the process. Michelle looked around. This is going to be fun, she thought, so why do I feel like something is going to go wrong.
