"What!?!" Alex said looking around.
"Um I have to go. Can you stay at your place tonight?"
"I guess so…why?"
"Um I have to go. See you later baby." Amy pecked him on the lips and jumped out of the car. Alex watched as see bounded into the apartment building not even looking back at him. 'That was weird.' He thought as he drove off.
Amy exhaled before walking into her home. 'Let him be here. I can't be hallucinating again. It has to be AJ this time' Amy thought to herself as she walked into her bedroom. Amy looked at the window but didn't see AJ. She looked around the room and still couldn't find him.
"AJ where are you?" Amy whispered while sitting on the bed.
"I'm right here." Amy jumped up and turned to the bathroom door.
"Hi baby." AJ said smiling.
"Is it you? Is it really you?" Amy said eyeing AJ up and down.
"It's me." AJ said holding his arms out for a hug. Amy rushed into his arms and felt his arms tighten around her.
"Oh AJ I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too." AJ lifted Amy's chin with his hand and leaned in to kiss her. Amy backed away. Amy felt his soft lips press against hers. AJ picked her up and then laid her on the bed. Amy stopped kissing him and pushed him away.
"I can't. I'm sorry." AJ looked at Amy in disbelief.
"Is it because of that guy I saw you in the car with."
"Yes. I…I love him and we're supposed to be getting married in two days." AJ sat down on the bed shaking his head.
"I came back for you. To be with you because I love you and now your going to tell me I did this for nothing."
"I'm sorry." Amy said beginning to cry. "You told me to move on. You told me to love again and I did. And now your telling me I'm wrong because I fell in love with someone else."
"I guess this is what the angel meant when he said to choose wisely and things might have changed." AJ put his head in his hands. "What do I do now?"
"I can't make that decision for you AJ. I'd love to be with you but I've made a commitment to someone else."
"Not yet you haven't." AJ said looking into her eyes. "Give me a chance." Amy heard the front door open and close. 'Who could that be?' Amy thought. Then she saw Kevin walk in with Lisa.
"Hi. Sorry we just showed up all of a sudden. Um Lisa made me come to my senses about you moving on and being with Alex. I'd just like to say I'm sorry for being rude and sarcastic earlier. I'd like you to know you have my best wishes."
"You have both our best wishes." Lisa added. "We'll be going now but we just wanted you to know that. Bye Amy."
"Bye." Amy said watching Lisa and Kev leave the apartment. Amy turned to AJ.
"Why didn't he say hi to you? What's going on? AJ I don't want to have to go through what I went through before."
"You're not going to have to. You don't love me so you don't have to care."
"AJ no guilt trips, ok. Why didn't Kevin say hi to you?"
"Because no one can see me. Only you can."
"What! Why? You need to explain to me what's up and why is all this so weird."
"I was a guardian angel up in heaven and I made a deal. If I saved so many souls then I got granted one wish. I chose to come back to you. The flip side of the wish is only you got to see me. No one else."
"So even if you had come back to me everyone would think I'm totally crazy because I would be talking to thin air half of the time because no one could see you but me. That doesn't sound like much of a relationship to me AJ."
"Amy just give me a second chance. Please?"
"Ok, I'll give you a second chance." Amy said a little unsure. AJ smiled happily.
"Thank you."
"So um where ARE you going to sleep tonight?" Amy exclaimed pointing out that she had only one bed.
"I'll sleep on the couch if you want me to."
"That would be nice." Amy went to her closet and pulled out a blanket and a pillow. "Here you go." AJ trudged to the living room, a little upset. He set the couch up for his own bed for the next month. 'Great' he thought 'the woman I love is about to get married.' AJ closed his eyes and decided not to think about it. He'd get Amy back if it was the last thing he did.
