God's Plan

      ********************

God's plan for Eternal life is perfect and wonderful. You can KNOW that you will go to Heaven. God says in the Bible:

"For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" Romans 3:23

This means we have all sinned and have missed the boat, so to speak.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord."Romans 6:23

The punishment for your sins(no matter how many or how big or small you think they are) is Death (eternal punishment in Hell). God's gift to us is Eternal Life paid for by Jesus when he paid the price God the Father demanded for our sins.We don't have to be punished in Hell for our own sins. Jesus bore the punishment and died for our sins-once and for ALL. He was sinless-he had no sins of his own to pay for- so his sacrifice was acceptable. Now he lives as our Mediator, our Advocate. We must accept the price he paid for our sins. If not, then we must pay for our own sins eternally separated from God in Hell. It is our choice. We cannot add anything to what Jesus did for us -Grace plus works doesn't mix. How can eternal life be free AND also cost us something? That is a contradiction--and God does not contradict himself.

"For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish , but have everlasting Life." John 3:16

Jesus died for us and offers Eternal life. All we need to do is accept what he did for us, accept Him as our Savior, depend on Him only to take us to Heaven. The word "believe" means "to trust in". We must trust or depend on him, not just merely believe that he exists, but believe that he is our only way to Heaven. In other words, stop depending on our good works, good intentions, because they mean NOTHING to God, because those good works don't take care of our SINS- Only the Blood of Jesus can.

"For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: It is the Gift of God, Not of Works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9

This is my favorite verse. We are so conditioned to believe that if we are good, we go to Heaven and vice versa. God Knew we couldn't be good. The 10 commandments prove that we could not be good. We have all broken at least one(yeah, right-one!) in our lives. The commandments show us that we need redemption. They show us our faults.Your Savior is whatever or whomever it is that you are trusting to take you to Heaven. You may be depending on a church, your works, or nothing. All of which are unacceptable to God. Why don't you today depend on Jesus to be your Savior. He is the only way.Just say yes to the free gift He offers you that He has paid for.
