They have lived in Indiana since they were very small, so I haven't been able to see them as much as I would like
I have missed them a lot in their growing up years...
We live in the Ventura area of So. California at the moment
But will be moving to the high desert, about 65 miles east of here, in the summer of 2000...
We are now about 10 minutes from the ocean, where I love to go to meditate and get centered
see my page "Manna For The Soul" to experience it yourself
I will miss that a lot when we move...
I am praying that God will lead me to some oasis in the desert for meditating and centering
As I am a nature person, perhaps just a lovely garden of our own will fill that need
A place with trees, flowers and green living things...
I have enjoyed traveling, dancing, writing, painting, quilting, and crafts of all sorts over the years
At this time of my life tho, reading, cross-stitch, crosswords, the internet and music are what fill my time...
Music has always been a big part of my life
I studied voice..mostly opera, for 4 years, but
my preferences are Spiritual, Classical, and Soft Rock
It is another gift that relieves the stress and calms my soul...
These bodies we were given weren't meant to live forever and some parts wear out faster for some of us
For me it is the knees that need replacing, so I am in chronic pain most of the time
Thank God for new technology, perhaps that will be taken care of in the near future...
As a result I do not go shopping, exploring, dancing or sightseeing as I once loved to do
It seems tho, that God compensates for our losses by bringing other things to fill the void...
UPDATE: 6/1/2000 - I had the surgery to replace my knee which was damaged to a deformity on May 16th
It was a total success
What a joy to be able to walk without pain again
We certainly do take things for granted until we lose them don't we??
It was well worth the pain and tremendous work I had to do to get to this point...

I have been online now for 3+ years even though it once intimidated me
You see this cyber world has become my place to shop, explore, site see, and meet people from all different places...
I have made so many wonderful friends that I would never have otherwise had the pleasure of meeting
I have found that people are the same all over the world
It is wonderful that in this cyber world, we are not swayed by looks, social status, age, religion, or background
We all have problems, pain, ups and downs, laugh and cry
We all just want someone to be there to listen and care.....and give a HUG...
I hang out mostly in the Internet Gaming Zone, where I host tournaments in Backgammon and Euchre
Stop by sometime and say, "Hello!", we give great HUGS...
I have had the joy of meeting a few of the players and my fellow hosts in person, and believe me real "hugs" are better than brackets LOL
My player nick is Sunshine
The backgammon tournament where I host is called All Seasons Gammon
We needed to have storm related host names
So I thought of how when the sun shines on a storm cloud
It produces a "RAINBOW"...
I feel that my life has been fully blessed
I love sharing the things I have learned and been given, and the love that God has so richly poured upon me...
