MANNA FOR THE SOUL

Sitting here at the shore, listening to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks...

It is Awesome....

Like music....it soothes my soul....I am entranced by the sound

No two waves are the same..each with its own intensity, shape and force..

Yet there is an order and rhythm to it all...

The sea looks so huge and devoid of life...

Yet I just observed a school of Sea Lion heading south,

stopping every once in awhile as if to play and explore...

Then two Dolphin seeming to swim so leisurely, yet how quickly they move from one spot to the next...

And Birds skimming along , on the same path, above the surface of the water...

It seems to be a well traveled route for all of the sea creatures to follow, yet without boundaries, and to where...

Oh God, your vastness, your power, your order, your beauty...

Natures Symphony

Look, there is a sun path on the water...

Seeming to beckon me to follow it from here to the edge of the sea, yet beyond...

And there, upon the horizon, a sailboat...I wonder where their journey is taking them... only they and you know their destination, Lord...

Do they feel your presence too, your majesty...

You are an Awesome God...

The earth seems so small when I'm wrapped up with the days tasks...

But when I come here to stare at the sea..

or look at the mountains so tall..

or search the heavens at night filled with a myriad of stars...

It is as if nothing else matters...

My soul is calmed, soothed and filled to overflowing...

A quiet place to steal away

to get connected with your spirit and centered on my spiritual journey...

Here for the moment I feel free..at peace..

comforted by a sense of your presence...

I am ready to return to my little corner of the world...

To love as I have been loved..To comfort as I have been comforted...

Thank you God, for preparing the manna for my soul before I even knew I was wanting...
