This place is neat! It's got cool armor and weapons, and the monsters give good XP! Okay, I'll save you a little worry-your group should be either Crono, Frog, and Lucca, or Crono, Marle, and Lucca. Ayla and Robo fit in AWFUL here. Know why? Because the scout monsters are here in mass quantities. The Yellow Scouts take damage from Lightning, Red Scouts from Fire, and Blue Scouts from Ice or Water. You can attack them with regular attacks, but Crono will only do about 50 damage on a normal hit, and they have about 330 HP.
In the top right corner, you can defeat the monsters. Defeat "Barghest", and attack Jinn once. The "Barghest Shield" is destroyed, so Jinn's defense drops like a rock in a black hole. *blink* Okay, NM. Anyway, head down after defeating these two party poopers, hitting the blue switch on the way, and defeat the scouts. Head left, and go to the top left corner, grabbing all treasures on the way. After defeating Jinn and Barghest, hit the switch once more, and head down. Lookit all the TREASURE you're getting! Head to the southwest corner, and walk along the wall. In a secret room, you'll get a GREAT weapon for Frog. Head back to the main room, and go to the southeast corner. Fight off all the enemies, and hit the switch. Back in the main room, heading down will lead through the rest of the Ocean Palace.
The rest is more straight forward. Watch out-on those weirdo guys in masks, DON'T use mass hitting moves like Lightning2, or you'll be stick getting smacked by counterattacks for the next 10 minutes. Kill 'em one by one, and if possible, defeat all of one color, before the others. When the statues blow fire at you, run-it does damage. No duh. ;)
Boss Battle: Golemtwins
WOW, surprise! Use Water2 and Ice2 a lot. These guys are pretty hard. O_o Keep healed, definetly, and remember that their Water attacks are sorry. Once I did this without taking any damage.. I kept a steady stream of Lightning2, Ice2, and Fire2 going, so they didn't ever get a chance to attack. (they have to charge up a turn after casting a spell on them). Watch out, this is only if you have a LOT of MP.
I like the cinema scenes here. They're interesting. Eventually, you reach a room where a Nu jumps off the side. NOOO!!!!! AVENGE HIM!! Oo, cool, the Mammon Machine. Well, the Ruby Knife turns into the Masamune (?), and then you fight Lavos. You're SUPPOSED to die here, although I beat Lavos once. In Game + mode. >:) Then the prophet reveals itself... girls, make sure you don't swoon, it's MAGUS! Been a while since ya saw him, eh? Guess he followed you to 12,000 B.C.. or perhaps he saw the portal while you were still in the Tyrano Lair. Anyway, Magus gets CREAMED and then Crono kills himself. Uhh.. all righty, then.
You awaken in a small hut. A Doan wanna-be wakes you up. Check out the other huts-one has a Nu guarding a magic tab. He sells you stuff. Wait a while, and the Nu will leave. Get Ayla in your party-important! Anyway, many died when Zeal crashed. Almost everyone. But there are about a dozen Earthbound ones, and even three or four of the Enlightened ones. Unfortunetly.. one of the survivors was Dalton. He attacks you at the village commons.. and you're taken aboard the Blackbird.. after.. umm.. you turn around for no reason and he shoots you.
Blackbird, 12,000 B.C.
I'll make this short and sweet. ^^ North of your own cells, you can find a treasure chest. Left of your cell is where a treasure (usually, gold). A treasure chest is found northwest of your cell (in the upper half of the Blackbird.) Another is found in the ventalation shafts.. just explore around a little. Southwest of your cell is another treasure chest. If you have Ayla in your party, she can attack with her fists. She'll have no armor, and your other two members will only stare innocently. I mean, they won't even use magic. Weirdos. Anyway, you can't switch chars on the Blackbird. If Ayla isn't in your party, you are thrown back into jail if you get caught until you can take someone's equipment. Keep exploring to find the way out-it's not hard. You enter a dark room with only a ladder, and head up. The enemies up here do very small damage, and give 1500 XP and 150 tech points! However, they have incredible evade, and can deal a little damage to you. And there are only about 5 of them. Anyway, in the bottom left corner of this area, you'll fight Golemboss. This is a give away. He can not deal ANY damage to you. Still, his evade is high, so it's a good idea to use attacks like Cube Toss. He takes a while, but you don't need to heal at all. ^^ He's not even deserving of a bold Boss Battle thing. Next comes Dalton. :P
Boss Battle: Dalton Plus
THIS GUY IS SO EASY!! He does VERY little damage, and lasts about 5 attacks. He's a snap.. about 10,000 HP. He's so easy, I can't help it. I laugh. It's incredible. ^^ In the end, he is pulled into some warp zone and you never see him again. Yay! Now you get to hop in the Epoch. One of your characters will probably tell you to hit a button, but sometimes, he or she won't. So just hit the X, Y, A, B, L, and R buttons at random until one works. Then do it again. ^^ You get to blow up the Blackbird! Anyway, land the Epoch, get Frog in your party, and head north to the North Cape.
North Cape, 12,000 B.C.
FINALLY! MAGUS! Walk up, go through the neato cinema scene.. what? Magus is JANUS? Wow. Surprising. Ah well. When he asks to battle, say NO AND WALK AWAY! And he'll JOIN YOUR PARTY! Oh yeah, baby, yeah! Anyway, head to the end of Time to learn of your new quests.
End of Time
Well, get Magus in yer party-he needs the tech points. Talk to the old man, and learn.. he's.. Gaspar? Wow. Well, he hands you an _EGG_. Head back to 1000 A.D. Whether by Epoch or by gate to Leene's Square, it doesn't matter.
Truce Village, 1,000 A.D.
If you got the clone earlier in the game, head to Crono's house. If not, head to the Millenium Fair. You get to play the clone game for free. However, the sooner you lose, the more money you pay. If you win, you get a free clone! If you lose, you pay money, but get the clone. Now head to Crono's house.
Crono's Home, 1,000 A.D.
Crono's mom is here, making his bed. This party confuses me.. if her son died 13,000 years ago, how did he exist? Stupid paradoxes. Anyway, it's sad to talk to a sweet woman who doesn't know her son has died.. maybe there's hope for him yet. Take the clone and head for the Keeper's Dome, 2,300 B.C. after talking with Gasper at the end of time.
Keeper's Dome, 2,300 B.C.
Grab the magic tab on the way. The Nu will let three dolls go... whatever ya do, don't turn 'em off. Head to Death Peak.
Sprint up the mountain, and talk to the doll. When the wind blows, WALK behind the tree. If you don't walk, you'll sink down until you fall off, and if you run, you brush right by it. Walking keeps you in place. ^^ When the winds stop, run up again. Keep hiding behind the trees.
Enemies here are creamed by Magus's Fire2, so use it a lot. The ghost-skeletons, especially. Head left and up the ladder, and keep climbing to leave the screen. This area here has a save point, but nothing else.. yet. Head back up the slope and go up.... and you fight..
Boss Battle: Lavos Spawn
Don't attack the head, and keep healed above 300 HP, and you'll be fine. Watch out-you'll have to fight him two more times after this. Grab the treasure and head up. Continue along, and eventually, you'll be back in that room with the save point. Hit the shimmering sparkle, and head back to that room.
Save and heal if needed, and enter the cave, to fight.. YAY, Lavos Spawn number 2! Beat 'im up and continue. When you see that cute little fluffy thing again, he'll tell you to watch your step. Do, or ya gotta start over again! Walking will keep you in place, and sprint makes you move. If you stop, you move down a little bit at a time. It's a little difficult. Keep walking until you fight.. sigh.. ANOTHER Lavos Spawn. This one leaves it's shell behind... remember that doll's saying? Push the shell, climb the shell? Push it to the top right, and jump on top of it! Then you get to see a long cinema scene and.. YAY! You have Crono. I liked going back in time.
This is it.. your adventure is approaching it's end, soon. Head to the End of Time, and learn of your newer quests.
