End of Time
Did I mention Magus works GREAT with the Gold Hairpin now? It's awesome. :) Anyway, Gasper will tell you of 7 missions, and, by exploring a little, they may seem a little familiar.. well, not really. But here they are, with explanations after each one.
In the Middle Ages, a woman's sheer determination brings a forest back to life. You will have to journey back to Fiona, fight a worm to help the soil, and have Robo work for 400 years on the forest. Lucca will then soon after have to go back in time.. to save her mother.
A fugitive in the Middle Ages, Ozzie maintains an evil hideout. You will have to travel to 600 AD and defeat Slash, Flea, and Ozzie once more.
There is a task to be done in the future, where machinery originated. You will have to defeat the robots in the 2,300's, and learn all about Robo's past.. and lovelife!
And there's a very special stone that shines it's light on each generation, from the distant path to the far future. You will need fight off a firey beast to recover the moon stone, and, with a little problem from a greedy person, change it back to the sun stone.
There's a ghost of a lofty night, slain by Magus in the Middle Ages, who haunts the present. You will have to recharge the Masamune, and learn about Cyrus's opinion of Frog.
There's an object in the Middle Ages that sparkles like a rainbow. You will need to enlist Toma's help to find the very location of the Rainbow shell.
One of you is close to someone who needs help. Find this person.. fast. You will need to save King Guardia from being wrongfully accused.
Okay, let's start out. If, in 12,000 B.C., you did as I said and told the girl to secretly bury the plant, head to 600 A.D. If not, skip this next part-you ruined it! -_-
Fiona's Villa, 600 A.D.
Oo, her husband's back from the war! :) That's so nice. But now you need to help them out.. enter the desert.. that swirling hole.
Sunken Desert, 600 A.D.
The enemies here can only be hurt if Ice2 or Water2 is casted on them, but there's a really low chance you don't have Magus, Marle, or Frog in your party! If not, well, get one-or two or three-in there. These enemies can deal a lot of damage-they're not easy. Fortunetly, this is the only room in this entire place.. well, the next one features a boss. Run around both rooms, grabbing the plentiful treasures, and, eventually, you'll meet up with the skeleton.
Boss Battle: Retinite
Well, this guy is no fun. He's long and hard and boring, and recovers life from that little sac in his stomach. Well, keep using Ice2 or Water2, and have the other characters use powerful attacks on it. It's kinda hard to tell exactly how to do this... I say keep attacking the top, and using as many attacks that hit all enemies, as long as it doesn't recover the middle. Just remember-you can "layer" the water and ice. Meaning if you cast ice2 and then water2, his defense will be lower than if you only casted ice2. After you beat him, head for Fiona's villa.
Fiona's village, 600 A.D.
Glad to help! But.. well... although they are very determined, it would simply be too crazy for two people to plant an entire forest. They're not young anymore, and haven't but 30 or so years to live. Anyone else who stayed here to help would be dead by 1,000 A.D... except.. *evil grin at Robo* Make Robo stay behind, and head for 1,000 A.D.
Fiona's Shrine, 600 A.D.
Well, one of the nuns sell a great hat, the Vigil hat, which increases defense a lot and protects again Chaos, Poison, Slow, and all other bad affects of attacks. But it's.. 20,000 GP! OWCH! Well, buy as many as you can-what else do you need money for? Anyway, Lucca will fix Robo, and then you get to sleep at a campfire! YAY! Slumber party! *roasts a s'more* Anyway, Lucca will stand up and walk to a portal. I don't get this part, but oh well. You enter Lucca's most terrible experience ever... her mother's loss of her legs. It's sad. Run out the right door-not down-and check the little leaflet. Hmm... the password is "LARA". The name of Lucca's mom! That's sweet!! ^^ Anyway, head downstairs.. !!!!!!!! Lucca's mom is being dragged into the machine!!! Little Lucca doesn't know the password... quick! Hit the little sparkly dot and quickly hit the L button, the A button, the R button, and the A button again to save her. Phew.. close one. Head back upstairs and enter the portal. Robo gives you GREENDREAM! This thing rukes-if you die in battle, you are brought back to life with a little HP, once per battle. Great. Now head to Ozzie's Fort, across the sea, with Magus in your party.
Ozzie's Fort, 600 A.D.
.. Ozzie greats you as soon as you enter. Head up the stairs, and fight Flea Plus! Sh-I mean, HE'S easy! ^^ Head up the stairs again, and watch the monsters go down the hole. ..... head up AGAIN *oy vey* and fight the very easy Super Slash. When you enter a room with an axe right in front of a treasure chest, don't grab it! Instead, walk to the right. An imp will come up and kill himself trying to get the treasure. Then Ozzie leaves and you can grab the midtonic! Why it's not just empty, I dunno. Don't leave the room! Go right.. and go DOWN! You'll enter a secret room with some great Magus equipment and a power tab. Head up.. and you'll fight...................... uh oh.
Boss Battle: Great Ozzie, Super Slash, Flea Plus
OWCH. Difficult!!! For one thing, DON'T USE attacks that hit all three of them, or you'll be creamed with counter attacks. If you have Ayla, you can steal the Flea Vest (Mg Defense +12), Slasher 2 (Crono's weapon), or the Ozzie Pants (great defense, but auto chaos, slow, and poison when in battle). None are really THAT useful. Beat up Flea first with strong attacks like Icesword2 and the like, but don't hit Slash or Ozzie yet. Keep healed-three powerful attackers beating you up drains your HP fast. Cube Toss works GREAT here. After Flea is gone or retreated, you can use attacks hitting both Ozzie and Slash without fear of a counter attack. After they're done, head up.. Ozzie's in the ice crystal again. You know what to do... uhh.. wait, you well down a hole. That's not supposed to happen. Head back up and try that again, soldier! Then... a SUPER cat comes and saves you!.. and kills itself in the process. It's heartbreaking! Oh well. ^^ Head out, and go to 2,300 A.D., and explore looking for the Geno Dome.
Geno Dome, 2,300 A.D.
I hate this place. Anyway, get Robo in your party. Robo will activate the security. A voice will urge you to hop on a conveyor belt. Defeat the enemies, and continue on your journey.
You should see a little keyhole thingy next to a door. Hit it now, you'll need it opened for later. Go to the left and up a little, and head left ASAP.. hrm... ya gotta fight some easy robots. ^^ Grab the chest and examine the computer-this will tell you ALL about the dome. The thing next to it makes you become electric. Owch. Remember that door that you opened up after the conveyor belt? Sprint back to it, quickly, and walk in it. You'll activate some power thingy and the door will open. Grab the chests and exit left. Press the two little switch thingies when you see them and.. voila! They will open up. But it's much too far to activate with that electricity... hmm.. maybe not. Run back to the area that you opened up right after the conveyor belt.. oh, you get electricty here, too? Quickly run back to those other two switches to open up the doors! Grab the poyozo doll. Go back to the beginning (when you got off the conveyor belt) and head left. Take out the enemies and go right. Don't touch the dot, or you go to the beginning. You can enter the door without having to zap yourself, yay. Leave and go left. Go up that elevator.
Explore a bit to find something that switches the conveyor belt.. hmm.. I wonder if that'll help at all? Find the robot behind the wall.. hmm.. it doesn't attack. Instead, it follows you! Hmm........ using the conveyor belt, head back to the beginning, with the robot following you. Run left from where the conveyor belt dropped you off, making sure the robot follows you. See the other robot guarding the doll? Well, make the following robot short circuit the guarding one, and grab your little doll. Go back to the elevator. Walk around a little more (I'm too lazy to guide you through ALL THIS), and you'll find.. a pink robot.. who.. umm.. attacks Robo.
Boss Battle: Atropos
Uhh.... Robo's name is Prometheus? Like from Kablam, Prometheus and Bob? Oh well. Well, uh, not much to say. Use a lot of Uzzi Punches. And when you need to heal.. heal. Gawd, I HATE that annoying laugh she does!!! GRR! Anyone, somehow, Robo has all the items, so if you need an ether or something, you can use one. Where he holds them and how the other two members gave them to him so fast, I don't know. After you defeat her, you get an AWESOME ribbon. It increases Robo's Magic Defense by 10 and his Speed by 3. _YES_!! Robo needs speed *so* much. Anyway, continue on. You shouldn't get lost past here. I don't like seeing the humans die. It's sad. :( When you place down both of the poyozo dolls.. get ready.
Boss Battle: Mother Brain and the Displays
HEHE! Mother Brain and the Displays sounds like an old 60's band, eh? ;) Well, the Displays have one HP each, but you have to kill them or they recover 3,000 damage to Mother Brain every turn. UGH. Use an attack that hits all enemies like Ice2 or Lightning2 to eliminate them.... and then Mother Brain starts kicking BUTT. KEEP HEALED with Robo! Fortunetly, her HP's are very low. If Robo keeps to healing and your other two keep using double techs (or, if with Magus, using single techs), it should take only about 2 minutes if you don't die first. ^^ Grab the arms, and equip.. umm... well, here's the problem. The Crisis Arm SEEMS to have a low attack, but when it says "Attack changes below 10 HP", it means that the attack is only that low if Robo's HP is below 10. So the Crisis Arm is stronger, right? Not really. This arm seems to do RANDOM DAMAGE or something. I say stick with the Terra Arm. ^^() Leave, and head back to 65,000,000 B.C.
Ioka Village, 65,000,000 B.C.
It's annoying to type all those 0's, trust me. Anyway, there's a NEW SUPER vest at the trading post! It increases fire defense by 80 PERCENT. Since the next boss you'll be fighting is fire, you'll need some protection. But.. holy cow. O_O You need 10 Feathers, 10 Fangs, 10 Horns, and 10 Petals? Owch. Fight a whole bunch at the hunting range, and buy 3. Then head for the Sun Cave in 2,300 A.D.
Sun Cave, 2,300 B.C.
Hmm.. oo, a pretty place with lava. Get out Crono, Ayla, and either Frog or Robo. Equip them with the new equipment you got from 65,000,000 B.C. Touch the shimmering dot.. aww, geez!
Boss Battle: Son of Sun
Annoying name. -_-() Anyway, here's what you do. If you have Robo, have Ayla and Robo use Beast Toss on any one of the little fires. DON'T ATTACK THE CENTER. If you have Frog, use Leap Slash on one while Ayla uses Triple Kick, or, if she doesn't have it, Cat Attack. Crono should Spincut. All three should attack the SAME FIRE. Now, if the Son of Sun uses Roulette, that's okay. Pick a new fire and keep attacking it. Eventually, you'll hear a "ding" and the Son of Sun will take about 200 damage. If it uses Roulette again, simply use REGULAR attacks on different fires until one hits the Son of Sun. Use an occasion Heal or Heal Beam, you probably won't need it too much, since you have the ruby armor. After defeating it, grab the moon stone and head back to 65,000,000 B.C.
Sun Cave, 65,000,000 B.C.
Place the moon stone down, and leave.
Sun Cave, 12,000 B.C.
Hmm, still a moon stone.
Sun Cave, 600 A.D.
Grab the tab and leave... you know, heck with it. Go to 2,300 B.C.
Sun Cave, 2,300 A.D.
-_-(______) The stone is GONE?!?!?!??!? Grr.. check out 1,000 A.D.
Sun Cave, 1,000 A.D.
Hmm.... it looks like it's been taken recently. Search around.. uhh... see the house that sparkles? Check that out.
Mayor's Manor, 1,000 A.D.
Gee, this guy isn't suspicious. He's obviously got the stone, but won't admit it.. tough luck. :\ Maybe someone knows some way to get it? Check out the Snail Stop.
Snail Stop, 1,000 A.D.
Hmm, this guy's selling jerky. Maybe.. buy some? You know, wasn't that woman in 600 A.D. looking for some jerky? For dinner? I wish WE could have jerky for dininer.. oh well. Check it out.
Mayor's Manor, 600 A.D.
See, she does want jerky! Hmm.. well, just give it to her. I mean, she looks so sweet. :) Well, let's check out 1,000 A.D. again.. still gotta find some clues.
Mayor's Manor, 1,000 A.D.
Maybe there's a clue in his house to what may make him give back the stone.... uhh.. why is the daughter all of a sudden so HAPPY? Uhh, GENEROUS husband? ?? What happened? Well, the mayor gives you back the moon stone. Wow! His ancestor must've passed on some valuable info on being NICE! YAY! Restore it to the Sun Cave, and head to 2,300 A.D.
Sun Cave, 2,300 A.D.
Get Lucca in your party.. yes, it's a SUN STONE! Finally! You head back to Lucca's house.
Lucca's House, 1,000 A.D.
You get the Sunspecs and the Wondershot! Equip Lucca with her Wondershot, and Ayla with the Sunspecs. Now, head to the Denadaro Mountains.
Denadaro Mountains, 1,000 A.D.
With Frog leading your party, simply scale the mountain. When one of those crow guys is throwing rocks at you, simply have Frog get hit. He'll grab the rock. Whatever. Leave and head back in time to Choras Village, 600 A.D.
Choras Village, 600 A.D.
People seem to be a little scared of this ghost at the north castle.. hmm... well, anyway, if you see Toma, buy him a soda. This'll help you later. When you head north.. hmm.. the place is in ruins, and you can barely get anywhere. One guy needs some tools.. weird. Hey, I wonder what's happening here in 1,000 A.D...
Choras Village, 1,000 A.D.
FYI, Medina Village is now HAPPY! :) The music is that cute Spekkio music and all the imps are nice and sweet, and there are a few humans. Prices are low.. it's so nice! ^^ Anyway, the people here aren't scared of the ghost-rather, excited! Don't enter the castle without Frog, or you'll fight a ghost that takes 0 damage. Hmm.. well..... hey, this guy's got TOOLS! I have an idea... get his tools and go to 600 A.D. so as to give to the carpenter.. hmm.. well, buy him his soda, and go to his wife's house. She'll give you the tools. Yay! Head for 600 A.D.
Choras Village, 600 A.D.
Give the carpenter his tools. His "lazy blokes" will build a part of the castle. Yay! Defeat all the ghosts and stuff, and head back to the carpenter. The jerk charges 2,000 GP this time.. oh well. Pay the money, and head back to Cyrus's Grave. No new monsters.. but you finally get to see Cyrus!! AHH!! He's a GHOST! Well, go through the heartwarming cinema scene and get the PUMPED UP and BUFF Masamune, Frog's strongest weapon! Head back to the carpenter.. WHAT?? 2,000 more GP?? Whottajurk... oh well. Pay it, and head back into the grave to defeat the monsters. In the end, you'll see two black boxes. Touch them, but don't take the contents. You'll see another black box on the way up, touch that and don't take the contents. Then head to 1,000 A.D.
Choras Village, 1,000 A.D.
Well, now all the villagers are BORED! Oh well. Enter the grave and take Crono's new weapon and Marle's strongest. Also grab the Nova armor. If you like, you can go back to 600 A.D. and grab the old treasures so as to sell them, but that's your choice. Head for the grave, and pour Toma's Pop on it, before heading to the Giant's Claw in 600 A.D.
Giant's Claw, 600 A.D.
When you go through the area, you'll notice little clues that this place is actually the Tyrano's Lair, although biologically speaking, it's practically impossible for a structure to stay in such great position for 65,000,600 years. Go left first, when you enter the Tyrano-type lair, then go right. The switch in the bottom left corner make both halves of the room collapse with only a small thing to walk across. The bottom right one makes some winged apes fall. The switch on top makes a save point. Just hit the one for the save point, save, and hit the tyrano's mouth. ;) Keep going along all nice and happy with your new Wondershot. When you see two ladders, you'll see the one leading up is a shortcut to the entrance, and the one leading down is where you should go. Keep going, and when you see a save point, save. Get whatever group you like.. I personally prefer Frog, Lucca, and Ayla. Enter the little crack, and..
Boss Battle: Rust Tyrano
I wonder what this thing eats, since nothing comes in here. Oh well. He'll count to _5_ before he unleashes a weak attack, and he keeps doing it. He has a ton of HP, but he's EASY. Use Leap Slash, Flare, and Triple Kick (or your strongest double and triple techs). After he uses his flare spell, have Frog and Lucca use FROG FLARE for ULTRA damage. Then Frog can heal. ^^ This dragon ain't nothing.
OO! The Rainbow shell! ... but it's much too heavy for you to lift alone. Well, King Guardia does owe you. Leave, and head for his castle (automatically).
Guardia Castle, 600 A.D.
He's more than HAPPY to help! Oh, I have an idea! Why don't we see the rainbow shell here in 400 more years? ^^
Guardia Castle, 1,000 A.D.
Get Marle in your party. The Chancellor tells Marle of her mom's death. :( Let's ask your father.. umm..........this isn't gonna work well. The king is.. well.. err...... maybe.. uhh... on trial. For trying to sell.. the rainbow shell? There's NO WAY that could've happened.. right? Try to barge into the trial, and Marle will put up a fight, but eventually, you'll be kicked out. Hmm..... run downstairs.. look! There's a new flight of stairs!.. the guard was bitten by a rat. "Dumb and Dumber" here will spoil all the evil plans. Then you beat 'em up. Remember the OLD enemies you fought with Crono, Lucca, and Frog, after Marle disapeared? These are the enemies here. HA!! .. in sight is the rainbow shell.. grab the shard.
This part is so cool!! The music sounds awesome as you're racing past enemies. Your father is being wrongfully accused, and it's all up to you. It's just.. incredible. But.. the guards won't let you by. Marle knows a secret passage in! She climbs around the back, and jumps through a window, and proves her father innocent. After all, he couldn't have sold the shell if Marle has it in her hands right now, right? Well, for whatever reason, your other two members enter the way that you couldn't before. Whatever. the Chancellor turns into a boss..sigh..
Boss Battle: Yakra XIII
Well, have Marle use Haste on everyone. ^^ Have the other two just use powerful attacks. Yakra's attacks rely mostly on hitting all three of your party members, so keep healed with Frog, Robo, or Marle. Magus's Dark Bomb works well, and Crono can use a great Icesword 2 here. While Marle is Hasting everyone up, Crono can use Confuse. Yakra's EASY.
Well, you get to go to the basement after this battle, and Melchior makes some KICK BUTT STUFF!! Fight, Crono's strongest weapon, the Rainbow. Also, he can make Prismspecs-Ayla should equip these. Now, you have three choices-3 helms, or 1 dress which only females can equip. Well, you'll need the Vigil Hats to protect status-I say go with the Dress. After all, after this, your last mission is simply to defeat Lavos. That's all!
Black Omen, Varies
Or you can come here! ^^ Enter the Black Omen in almost any age. This place has a LOT OF SPEED TABS! Head from the beginning to the guards. Using almost any spells kills them-use a weak one like Robo's Laser Spin. Magus's attacks work well, because they only take 2 MP. Okies, head up.
Boss Battle: Mega Mutant
Uh, the bottom can't take much damage, so just aim on the top. Eventually, after the top sucks too much from the bottom, the bottom will simply disapear, leaving you with the top to easily deal with. ^^
Keep going until you find a tube of light. Oo.. ahh.. it's cool. Watch out for the panels here, they ALWAYS catch me by surprise. Keep going until you find some Nu's. You can buy some stuff from one of the Nu's, and the other will teleport you out. There's a secret passage in the walls, up some, which is the way to continue. Watch out for the Tubster here! You can charm a Speed Tab from him, but beware-he counter attacks POWERFULLY! Nothing else to say.. just keep going until you find the evil Giga Mutant. Beat it up. I don't WANT to do any Boss Battle thing. It's late and I'm tired. ;) Just, uh, keep going. Some more. And then you'll defeat the Terra Mutant.. Terra? No!! I liked Terra from Final Fantasy 3.. although Celes WAS better..anyway, keep going until you find Zeal.. what.. is she doing?? She's MAD! First, you beat her up.
Boss Battle: Zeal
Zeal uses an attack that reduces EVERYONE'S HP to one. Fortunetly, none of her attacks deal any damage! Although they do hog MP. I say attack her a lot with your strongest attacks-you'll be using a MegaElixer after this battle, for sure. MP should be no option. Attacks like Frog Flare work AWESOME here, since your HP is insured to be low. After you beat her.. ugh.
Boss Battle: Mammon Machine
Use the MegaElixer first chance you get. If ya like, you can use Frog Squash, Frog Flare, or Dinotail first to do some nice damage. ;) When you use a regular attack on Mammon, it's defense increases. When you use a magical attack on Mammon, it's attack increases. I advise using each character's best attacks. Crono, Robo and Ayla should use Physical attacks, while Marle should concentrate on healing and maybe a little magic. Lucca, Frog, and Magus will mostly be attacking with magic. If it's attack gets too high, you die quicker. If it's defense gets too high, you can't do anything to it. Just keep beating it up, and eventually, it'll drop defense. KILL THE STUPID THING quickly.. or it'll unleash a powerful attack. This guy isn't easy. -_-
Boss Battle: Zeal
Zeal and her two hands.. it's weird. Ignore the hands, you can't deal damage to them. Use powerful spells that rely on crushing one enemy-Icesword2, Firesword2, and Cube Toss work especially well, but a lot of other attacks will too. Gatling Kick works awesome. It's okay to use a MegaElixer here-this isn't an easy battle.
Boss Battle: Lavos
MORE? Well, this is surprisingly easy. Lavos simply mimicks all the bosses you've fought so far, up until I think Nizbel. Maybe it was Giga Gaia. Not sure. These battles are easy, especially since you can change your party. Well, after you beat the ugly brown thing, enter it's body. Yuck.
Lavos's Body, 1999 A.D
O_O SCARY! Get out your STRONGEST CREW! I like Crono here. Marle works well with her Haste, but Frog's healing is helpful. I don't advise bringing Robo and Frog, Robo and Marle, or Frog and Marle, but if you like.. my personal choice would probably be Ayla, Crono, and Frog. Save and continue, making sure you're HEALED.
Boss Battle: Lavos
This... battle.. is.. COOL! I like the music. Well, have Crono use Luminaire, Magus use Dark Matter, Lucca use Flare, Ayla regular attack either of the hands, Marle Haste everyone up, Frog use Water2 and heal, Robo use Shock and heal. After the hands are defeated, Lavos drops his defense and uses Obstacle. Hope everyone's got on the Vigil Helms or Nova Armor! Here's where it gets fun. If Triple techs work for ya, use 'em. Gatling Kick and Final Kick work great. If you don't have Crono, use Cube Toss if you can, or Frog Flare. It's really a battle of your choice.. whenever you need to heal, heal. You have only one more battle after this-save at least 5 Megaelixers for it.
Boss Battle: Lavos Spawn, Right Core, Left Core
So. Lavos has been practically toying with DNA, huh? That's not FAIR. Let's put a stop to this!!
Okies-use Physical attacks on the Left Core. It dies VERY VERY VERY VERY quickly, but it can also heal Lavos. Keep in mind this-if you destroy the Right Core, the whole thing dies. After the Left Core is knocked out, use whatever attacks necessary to prevent damage from Lavos. If you need to use an Elixer or Megaelixer, by all means. Watch out for Grand Stone-Lucca and Marle are tosses around by it. Dreamless can really put the pressure on Robo and Crono, but not too harshly. When the Right Core removes defense, use attacks like Cube Toss, Gatling Kick, or, even better, attacks hitting both Lavos and the Right Core, like Luminaire, Delta Storm, and Dark Matter. It only shuts off it's defense occasionally, so make it work! Lifeline, with Crono, Marle, and Robo, is invaluable here. If anyone has the Rage or Frenzy band equiped, that person can be expected to counterattack a LOT, since Lavos changes it's time zone a lot.
After Lavos dies, sit back and watch the ending! Depending on what you did in the story, like, if Crono's dead or not, you get different endings. Use Game + to get a WHOLE BUNCH of endings. Maybe I'll add a part on my site about 'em? Who knows?
