Ghost in the Machine demo sessions

There isn't much cd or lp news to mention. Therefore something totally different this time. As you might probably know there are some Ghost in the Machine demos available right now.

These sessions are not available from my collection, this information is only there to inform you and does not have the intension of trading or selling this stuff.

These session tapes appeared a couple of years ago from a collector who lived in Canada. All this was recorded at Le Studio in Quebec back in 1981. I mentioned tapes since there are different versions floating around so you better check your cdr or tape if you have these songs:

First tape is Sting on synclavier, just him solo:

1. We could never be friends
2. Love me tonight
3. It's never too late (instrumental track)
4. Don't you believe it baby
5. Don't give up your daytime job

Normally Sting makes his first demos with synclavier and just the lyrics, its funny that these songs have not appeared on any album (yet). After that Stewart and Andy appear and the "arguing" can start.

Second tape is Ghost session 1, all 3 members

1. Secret Journey
2. Spirits in the material world
3. Invisible Sun
4. Too much information
5. One World
6. Every little thing she does is magic
7. Hungry for you (instrumental)

Just great to hear these versions, some are very different than the final versions.

Third tape is Ghost session 2, all 3 members

1. Secret journey
2. Spirits in the material world
3. Invisible sun
4. Too much information
5. One World
6. Hungry for you (instumental)
7. Invisible sun

Track 1 has an accapella intro of around 15 seconds, also the outro is longer than the first version. Track 7 is different than the one from the other version, its 10 seconds longer and more basic.

These tapes are interesting enough to collect, also for those who do not want a hugh collection of shows. Maybe next time some more demos, what about 3 songs extra that are not on the boot CD 3 Ghosts Caught in the Act, plus a sound quality which is 100% better.

And for those who didn't know:

• Andy's new album is out now, Peggy's blue skylight.
• Sting's Japanese remix album is finally there.
• Sting also appears on the album "A love affair" with the song "She walks this earth".
• Stewart has made 2 new soundtracks, Skipped parts and Sunset strip.
