Simon Li
Known to some as fan and friend of Melbourne band The Powder Monkeys (RIP), music writer/reviewer for the i94 Bar homepage (dedicated to bands and music, past and present, influenced by the best Detroit / New York rock-n-roll ever from the likes of The Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls, The Ramones, The Dictators) and "Melbourne music identity", but could he be a muso himself? ...He also advises you won't need to be on the lookout for the now late (and could/might have been great) band called Drug Squad 77 (formerly The Mushroom Clouds/The Nosebleeds).

December 2007 -
After a well received gig {which included his take on 'Ain't no Stranger to Dirt' penned by the late, great Tim Hemensley (RIP) and recorded by The Powder Monkeys on their "Lost City Blues" CDLP} at The Sly Fox in late November, Simon shall be a support for Sydney band, Feed the Horse (ex The Hard-Ons) at Sydney's Sandringham Hotel in Newtown during their Boxing Day Bash/gig.

August 2006 -
Visits Ashley Thomson's "Jesus 666 Studios" and records six songs in May 2006 for "Living on Borrowed Time" CDLP.

"Living on Borrowed Time" CDLP marks a beginning?/return?/departure?/left turn? to rock-n-roll and features six songs recorded at Jesus 666 Studios and three original rock-n-roll songs and one non-original song (The Powdermonkeys 'Get the Girl Straight') performed at Ned Alphabet's 40th birthday party/gig at The Clubhouse in March 2006.

To be unleashed where demand exists in an unsuspecting, ungrateful, apathetic world in the grip of wars in the middle east, the war on terrorism, an addiction to the cult (and every minute movement of) of celebrity, brain dead, useless governments and outrageous petrol prices driving the cost of almost everything "needed" to survive to prices more akin to an arm and a leg.

Other original non-rock-n-roll material has also been demoed in that hole in the wall/"Belvoir Studios".

March 2006 -
Following appearance at Ned Alphabet's 40th birthday party/gig at The Clubhouse (where Drug Squad 66 appeared as guest rhythm section) Simon will be filling in for King Felix guitarist John South for upcoming King Felix gig at Victoria Park, Broadway, Sydney on March 25th as part of the street march and rally organised by The Inner West (Sydney) Your Rights at Work Committee's against the Australian Federal Government's recently introduced "Workchoices" legislation.

King Felix will be performing at the rally at Victoria Park, Broadway, Sydney (where the street march ends and rally begins, after the street march begins at Foley Park, Glebe, Sydney at 11am) on March 25th at 1.25pm - 1.45pm, with the likes Waiting for Guinness, Da Vinci's Line, The Steak Lovers, The Helpful Kitchen Gods, The Section and The Men from U.N.C.L.E. also performing as part of the rally against the disgrace that is "Workchoices" legislation (one of many signals of the end of democracy (heard of "democracy" Johnny..?) in Australia under the "Howard" "Federal" "Government"), alongside a variety of speakers also appearing.

February 2006 -
Following another long break, Simon treaded the boards at Ned Alphabet's (ex-King Felix/25th Floor/Roll Cage/Freak Bros/Full Toss/Funeral Clowns) 40th birthday party/gig at The Clubhouse on March 4th, where local Sydney bands King Felix, The Men from U.N.C.L.E. and Drug Squad 66 (ex-Roll Cage) also performed.
