Juliette Lewis did a good job in this movie playing a conniving bitch who throws away love for advancement in the world. The character of Faith was rescued by Lenny from a life of prostitution. He fell in love with her, and basically took her away so that she could work on her singing. When it was discovered that Lenny was dating a prostitute, however, he got thrown off of the LAPD vice squad and lost his job. Then Faith left him for Philo Gant, owner of a major record lable, in the hopes that Gant would sign her to his record label. Gant used her pretty much as a decoration, and by the time she realized how much Lenny DID love her, it was too late to get him back.
