1981

In 1981 the event's organizers decided to move the party from the City Coliseum
to the larger Palmer Auditorium, to accommodate more revelers.  The top left photo
shows me speaking with Mike Quinn, the promoter of the annual Carnaval Brasileiro,
just before he introduced me onstage during the costume contest.
The top right photo shows me holding the prize I won for this costume!
Look closely:  that's not red eye from the camera flash, it's those long red eyelashes!
The lower photo shows me with fellow Carnaval crazies Lily, Kim, Jose, Cecilio, and Belén.
See?  It's not just me!
