Sally has been the tutor of the youngest of John Henry for several years. She was a young, unmarried woman from England, sent to Belleterre on Charles' reference after having the child of Freddie Marshall. Ricky
lived only a few days, though he was baptized a Marshall and buried in their family plot. It was her decision, on Richard's insistence, to end her relationship with Freddie for his own good. She is tall and pretty
with blond hair, often disheveled, and blue eyes. In mid-December of 1875, before Christmas, she and Freddie were married by Lazarus Carrol.
