                             INTRODUCTION

       Another year without performing but with a lot of studio time leading
  up to the INFIDELS album. This time Dylan apparently also spends a lot of
  time remixing and dubbing the tracks recorded in April and May.


  1.  CALENDAR

  February 16      Dylan appears at a Rick Danko/Levon Helm concert at
                   the Lone Star Cafe in New York.
  
  April 11-May 8   The INFIDELS recording sessions in New York.

  October 28       Release of 'Union Sundown/Angel Flying Too Close To The 
                   Ground' single (in Europe only).

  October          Dylan films the Sweetheart Like You video in Los Angeles.

  November 1       Release of INFIDELS
                   The photo of Dylan on the hills above Jerusalem is taken by
                   Sara during their visit there in September.

  December         Release of 'Sweetheart Like You/Union Sundown' single

           3,14 released as single, December 1983.
           5 released in edited version (verse 2 and 4 cut out) on single,
                                    April 1984.
           28 released on DOWN IN THE GROOVE, May 31, 1988.
