It has features like being instucted to use alternate applications to open each file type, and linking any application to a key enablng you to open all items in that app when you hold down that key, and much more.       "TattleTech" (570K), aka TattleTale, reports over 850 info items on your System, hardware, and peripherals. Pretty much everything on/to do with your computer (ex: PCI Cards, SCSI devices, traps, applications..) it logs for you, as well as checking for file intergrity. Does some other stuff too. Very cool.       File Buddy" (411K) is a cool file and disk utility which lets users get info, find files, make aliases, erase unused space, and much much more. Shareware.

    • DiskTools Collection
      "DiskTools Collection" (463K) are some useful desk accessories which used to be in BatteryPak, DiskTools Plus, File Director and MacPak commercial products. They include a phone pad, a couple of calculators, a calendar, and some disk tools. Shareware.

    • Fonts Manager
      "Fonts Manager" is much like the MacOS Extensions Manager, but instead of Control Panels and Extensions, you can disable, or enable font suitcases, and printer fonts in "Sets". Shareware.

      "UltraFind" treats your disk or even network as an information rich searchable text database. With a ton of options, and impressive speed, this is the best search program I have seen, commercial or otherwise. Shareware.

      "PRAM Inspector" (312K) lets you inspect the information saved in your PRAM, enabling you to detect problems on your own. Freeware.

      "Snitch" (609K) improves the Finder's "Get Info" window adding things like creator and file type. Thats not all. You can also edit file and creator types, preview Quicktime movies and jpegs, update aliases, and more. Shareware.

      "MacSlack" (349K) calculates how much space is being wasted on disks, and can predict how much would be recovered by splitting a drive into smaller partitions, or by converting from HFS to HFS+. Freeware.

      "Disk Charmer" (154K) lets you erase, verify, copy disks as well as read disk images. With 8.1's HFS+, it can set the min. allocation block size and more. Shareware.
