Have you had enough tigers for one, well, millenium? That's because you are weak, soldier! But for those of you who are ready to leave, I will provide some links that may be helpful to you. Oh yeah, I provide free advertising for my friend's pages too. Haha. But, please sign my guestbook before you leave. Save my soul.
But while we're talking linkage, let's put a few words in for Tiger Universe. If you have a webpage of your own and you are interested in linking to my site, I will provide a few ad banners to help you out :
Or simply add a text link to Tiger Universe (http://www.geocities.com/Rainforest/Canopy/6388) anywhere you want.
Tiger & Other Big Cat Pages |
Andrew's Homepage- Here's a nice site with information about tigers in general, plus some more in depth facts about the threats that face this beautiful cat. The message is straightforward and easy to understand - Save the Tiger - NOW.
Animal Hot Spots- This site provides links to "The Best Animal Sites on the Web". However you'll notice Tiger Universe isn't listed. So much for that.
Hornocker Wildlife Institute (HWI)- Here is a favorite of mine. HWI is the association that I sponser "Yevgeny" through, and I have always had pleasant experiences with them. If you're serious about calling yourself a "tiger lover", do something about it. Visit here and save a tiger.
Lincoln Park Zoo Tigercam- A must see for all tiger-lover's! This site has a live camera set up at Lincoln Park Zoo, the home of three tiger cubs! Now the camera only operates certain hours of everyday, and the tigers aren't always in view, so you may have to check back a few times before you catch them in action. But while you're waiting you can check out the picture archive!
Rezwana's Striped Kats on the Web- Now this is the site of a friend and fellow tiger lover. It is just getting started out but looks very promising. Rezwana's place includes tiger pictures, "did you know?", and links to other tiger sites (including mine!).
Save the Tiger Fund- Go here if you're looking to sponsor a tiger, or learn a little about the perils the tiger faces in the coming years.
TIGERS!- This site has tiger links and threats to this majestic animal. It's very nicely set-up, but there's not many pictures here.
Tiger Eyes- "If you can't hug a tree, hug a tiger" is the motto of this website. It includes information and pictures of the 8 subspecies of tigers, 3 of which are now extinct! It also has a "Tiger Message Board" were you can post questions or answers for all to see.
The Tiger Information Center- Now this site is pretty much just "the" tiger site on the web. They have information on everything, nicely displayed, and picutres you can't find anywhere else. This site appears in almost every tiger-link list I've ever seen, so who am I to break tradition?
Tigerlink - Saving Tigers One by One- You can go visit Tigerlink to hear about a personal experience between human and tiger. Maybe after viewing this site, you'll have a new respect for this rapidly vanishing animal.
Tiger Rescue- Here's the home of Tiger Rescue, a group dedicated to taking care of retired animal actors. They can really use donations, or volunteers, from any part of the world. Check it out and help them with their goal.
Cali's Place- Need a good dose of pure California style? Then check out the page of my "online twin", Cali. (Caly, Cali, get it?) Find out a little about her life and friends, but watch out. When me and her get together, the very foundations of the earth tremble. Mwahaha.
Fanny's World- Alright, despite the name, this place is actually pretty cool. Casey, the owner of this site, is just getting it up and running. But it seems to have the makings of a great gaming site.
Heather's Homepage- Check out this page to find out a little bit about Heather and her life in Illionois. As soon as she gets some free time, Heather is planning to put some kick in this place with some awesome graphics.
Megan's Page of Movies 'n' More- Megan's page is huge. Everytime I visit it has grown. She specializes in movie reviews, but has expanded her site to include screen shots from some of her favorite films. If your thinking of catching a weekend flick you had better stop in here first to see if it's worth your 6 bucks. And for extra entertainment, look her up on ICQ to get in on one of our famous "orgy" chat sessions. Don't take that too literal.
Karl's Archive- Take a trip on the alternative side and visit Karl, official TOOL worshiper. He's also collected famous quotes and literature, lyrics and poetry.
Phirana's Web Domain- A huge, HuGe, HUGE site. Adam (Phirana)is set up to blow you away with extensive HTML and Javascript knowledge, plus 25 megs of space to burn. His rapidly growing site includes a chatroom, top 50, gaming info and downloads, personal profile, and a lot more! And that's just since the last time I was there!
Simon's Web-page- Si here is the guy that (finally) convinced me to sign up with Geocities. His page is also a mix of a few different themes, one of them being the X-men. There's proof that Simon is just a big-kid at heart. However I hear rumors that he's quite a ladies man when he's out on the town ...
Shannon's Creampage- Just what is a "creampage" you ask? I can assure that they are a very rare. You'll have to check out this link to get in on the wonders of Cream, and discover the horrors of Cream's arch-rival, Creme.
SunShine and Kitten's Page- This page is sort of a joint project between me and a friend from school, Rachel. We're just kinda screwing around. Check it out ;)
Angelfire- Angelfire provides 5 MB free space for building homepages. There are many other companies out there which provide more, but Angelfire asks very little of it's members. There are no required banners or ads, and you can choose to eliminate pop-up menu's from your pages.
Geocities- I moved from Angelfire to Geocities because I needed more space. Geocities provides 11 MB of space, but requires some extras. You must include a link to Geocities, ad banners, and there are often pop-up windows to contend with.
Xoom- Xoom also provides 11 MB of space and they offer two different types of homepage editors. The common HTML editor, and an FTP editor. Great for those of you who want to avoid lines of code.
Tripod- Tripod is yet another place offering 11MB for free. Kinda makes you wonder while Angelfire doesn't, huh? I've never had any experiece with this one, but I'm pretty sure they require a banner.
The Website Garage- Having problems with your own homepage?? This place will fix you up for free. It runs a check on your pages and will provide suggestions for improvement.
Hotmail- Hotmail provides a free e-mail service for anyone. To do anything on the internet, including getting a homepage, you often need an e-mail address. Hotmail can fix you up in about 15 minutes.
The GIF Wizard- Even with the 11MB, some picture files can be huge, and to conserve space you can use Gif Wizard here, to crunch your files. The picture remains the same, but it takes less time to load!
Jelane's Families of Graphics- Elegant yet simple graphics created by Jelane. This where the bluish graphics on my page come from. For a limited time Jelane has teamed up with Xoom to bring you a free custom button order form. You'll have to visit the site to find out more.
Guide To Publishing HTML- I go through a ton of HTML Guides in my attempts to build and maintain my ever-growing website. This one is particularly helpful for text variations.
Jonny's HTML Headquarters- I used this guide to learn frames and tables. It's easy to understand and includes examples to help you along. It's also got some information on imagemaps - maybe I'll work on that next ...
The WWWeb Factory Presents Color Codes- Now, anyone who knows anything about HTML will know that if you want some colorful writing on your page, you gotta know the name of the color you want. In some cases, simply saying "blue" will work, but I find I usually need a little more variation. This will give you the codes for every color you're ever gonna want, but you'll need to figure out how to use them first. Also, this page specifies Netscape's Color Codes, but I know for a fact they load fine on Internet Explorer, and probably other browsers as well.
Nymph's Picks (Fav Pages) |
392 Blonde Jokes- Since I am a blonde, I hear these things constantly. Constantly. Why don't you go memorize a few to annoy me with?
Tempe Union High Schools- Go here to find my home away from home, Desert Vista High School. Go Thunder!! DVHS 4EVER!
Teen.Com- It's "the place for teens." Teen.Com includes chatrooms, music news and concert dates, advice colums, jokes, and much much more. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, shopping!
gURL- Boys need not pay attention to this link, ladies only! Much like Teen.Com listed above, this place includes advice, jokes, chatrooms, and other news that teens females tend to be interested in. That includes beauty advice and body-talk to give your self-esteem a big boost.
