This time boys and ghouls, we are gonna do something a little different. This time instead of a movie, I'm gonna review a game. And not just any game, but a game about Movies. A Game inspired by the Horror/Sci-Fi B-Movies of the likes made by Ed Wood, Roger Corman, Sam Raimi or Russ Meyer. A game called:
Now this game is a card game. Not a Collectable Card Game like Jyhad/Vampire or Magic or Mythos, but a stand alone type game like Milbourne Miles. Great for camping at the trailer and convienent to bring on a trip and just whip out and play like a regular deck of cards.
The premise is that the players are making Sci-fi/Horror B-Movies, players use creatures to attack characters in their opponents movies while trying to defend their own characters with various props and special effects.
The cards have a great look to them with awesome illustrations on the creature and prop and character cards and each card has a little, often humorous quote. Click here and here and here for examples.In the many games I've played so far, no two have been the same and the cards can be combined in many interesting ways. Strategy can be as much a key element as the luck of the draw. Making up the movie titles can be fun too. Some of the movies the family and I have made have titles like:
