Directed by Mario Bava and based on Europes popular DIABOLIK comics, this flick is my favourite '60s action flick. Diabolik is part Robin Hood, part James Bond, part evil mastermind. There is nothing that he can't steal. Priceless jewels, government currency shipments, even a twenty ton gold ingot, he steals it all. He races Jaguars, scales castle walls, shoots it up, jumps from amazing heights and has the hottest girlfriend. He always has a plan, no matter how far fetched.
If you have seen Mario Bava movies before and appreciate his flare for color and visualization, you won't be disappointed with this one. The action is accented with vibrant colors and a touch of the psychedelic.
You may have caught this one on MST3K's final episode, but even without Mike and the bots, this is a great fun movie! Get your own copy, the price is certainly right...
