What catches my attention when I first hear a song is its tune; only then will I play close attention to the lyrics. Since I am really not a native speaker of English, I find it hard to pick out the lyrics when the song is being sung the first time. I confess I really prefer the mainstream kind of popular and sentimental music. No grunge or heavy metal and such stuffs for me; they give me a headache and I am not exaggerating!
Our local radio station, Class 95FM has a special programme that is aired during weekdays from 10pm-2am in the morning. The first host was Suzanne Walker, who was the 'Love Goddess'. I used to hate it when she spoke in that real low and breathy voice. As I love to fall asleep to music, I'd set a timer so that the radio would be switched off automatically. She used to give me a fright, when I would wake up and hear her voice hehe...now that she has quit the show, I sure missed her alot. I'm not saying the present host is not good, it is just that Simon Lim, our so-called 'Captain of your heart', is a MALE. I guess when he asks those 'naughty' questions and gets REAL personal, he sounds like a hamsuplo to me! No offence! Hehe...No way am I gonna open up and tell HIM my secret fantasies...
By the way, Suzanne Walker is now with Power 98, & her show is from 5-8pm on weekdays!
This programme is for you lovers out there to call in, fax or e-mail them. You do not get to choose the song you want, but you can dedicate it to your beloved. I guess Simon Lim did a good job by introducing something new to the programme. Instead of just making this a 4-hour dedication for the lovesick and night-owls, he has a question about love every night. Some questions are very practical, like what to choose:Sex,Money or Friendship? Some are naughty and real corny... the funniest one I remember is 'Do you like your man hairy?' *LOL* (If you want to know MY ans to THAT,well,e-mail me and if I'm in a naughty mood, I MIGHT just tell you! *cheeky grin*)
Do check out Class 95, especially the interesting hosts of the Morning Express too; I love their programme cos they are just soooo FUNNY! Definitely a great way to start the day by tuning in to them hehe...
Here is a list of my favourite singers and songs;where possible,I've included lyrics and midi.Enjoy!
Stay tuned...this page is still under construction...thanks!
