~ HOUSTON ~

I live in a coastal plains suburb of Houston. A very diverse city that offers everything you could possibly imagine. From the entertainment of the country singing artists and the rough tumble rodeo competitions at the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to the sophistication of the Society of the Performing Arts if you like theatre or Theatre Under the Stars for summer performances and Houston Grand Opera. There are champion teams in both women and men's basketball at the COMPAQ Center: Rockets andComets. The Aeros are playing hockey and the city is alive with baseball fever in the incredible new Minute Maid Park.
But if you prefer a more quiet refined atmosphere, the city offers the wonderful gardens of former Governor Hogg at the Bayou Bend Gardens and Estate. Or relax in the serene atmosphere in the Houston Museum of Fine Arts or tour the Houston Museum of Natural Science including the Cockrell Butterfly Center, Burke Baker Planetarium, and IMAX theater. If you want to REALLY leave home, try the new Norwegian Cruise Lines Texaribbean cruise leaving from local Houston port of Barbours Cut! The Houston Public Library has an awesome archive of geneology as well as endless supply of answers! I've called them NUMEROUS times! If you have a legal question, we have The People's Lawyer to help you answer questions.
The Johnson Space Center and adjacent Space Center Houston educational park are not to be missed if you are interested in the space program - this is MISSION CONTROL!
A culture so diverse in industry that variably every walk of life either lives here, does business here or travels through the airports or Port of Houston to the world.
There is always something happening in Houston. If none of the above is of interest, Houston.Sidewalk can certainly show you what is the hottest event happening from cultural events to the latest convention in town. And you've heard the expression, "If you don't like the weather, wait a while and it will change!" It is a city worth the visit.
