The Red Grate
Welcome to the information part of the adoption angency. I am a Red Rose Dragon, one of the only pair of Rose Dragons left. My mate is the Rainbow Caitia. Here you can learn more about Rose Dragons and why we are here at the haven.
We are called Rose Dragons because when we are born we are each given an enchanted rose that holds all our magic. These roses only wilt when their onwer is sick, and will die when we die. The color rose we are given depends on what color we are. There are 7 diferant kinds of Rose Dragons, 3 females and 3 males and Silvers, which can be either male or female.
The females are the greens, golds and rainbows and the males are the blues, browns and reds. Silvers are very rare, they can only be born from a rainbow or silver clutch.
Here are all the colors in order of size:
Silver-Silvers are the smallest of all the Rose Dragons. The are very rare, coming only from Rainbow or Silver clutches. The small size of these dragons, and their drab color, makes them perfect spies and/or thieves. They tend to be very crafty and quick-thinking. They may or not have hordes, but if they do they usually have anything and everything. Their roses as a blue-purple color. EITHER MALE OR FEMALE
Green-The smallest of them all(except for Silvers). They are usually very powerful mages. They tend to enjoy forests the most. They are given a red rose. They are philpsohers and great thinkers. They have huge colections of books, herbs, and magic charms and amults. ALWAYS FEMALE
Blue-A little bigger then the greens, but still the smallest male by far. As you may guess from their blue coloring, they love water. They tend to collect lots of blue items and lots of shells and stones from beaches. Thier color rose is yellow. ALWAYS MALE
Brown-Altough their roses are pink, these mid-sized dragons are no sissies. They are warroirs at heart, having huge armories with wepons galore. They tend to be the "all brawn no brains" kind of dragon. ALWAYS MALE
Gold-The secound biggest female, they are just a tad bigger then the browns. They LOVE gold. Golds usually have huge hordes of gold trinkets. These are the merchants and bankers of the Rose Dragons. White is the color of their roses. ALWAYS FEMALE
Rainbow-They are the biggest female, and great mothers. They tend to collect many colored shells or stones. In contrast to their bright wingspand their roses are grey. ALWAYS FEMALE
Red-These are the largest Rose Dragons, the leaders of the Rose Dragons. They spend their free time trying to better the life of all Rose Dragons and usually don't have huge hordes, altough they might have some books (like How to Run a Village). Their roses are dark blue. ALWAYS MALE
Of course, this isn't written in stone. Sometimes there will be blues that loathe water, or brown phioliphers. Also there is no higher ranked color, greens and blues are just as important as rainbows and reds.
We use to live on a planet called Lind, we meaning the entaer Rose Dragon race. We had about as many people as Earth's humans do. Our cilalavaion consited of tiny villages, blustling towns, and huge cities. We had our wars and whatnot, but mostly we were a peacful land. Each village/town/city had its own government, each government was made up of 6 or 7 dragons, one of each color, although not ever government had a Silver. Each village would be protected by a town, and each town by a city. The cities(and towns and villages) were overseen by a central government which consisded of 7 dragons(once again once of each color) who were elected by the other governments.
Every city (town, villages) depended on other settlements for something, fish from the sea, herbs from the forests, ect. Most dragons stayed at the place where they were born their whole life, or they moved to a city or town nearby. Some dragons, however, would decide to travel instead, and they joined the cravans that brought goods from everywhere to anywhere. It seemed like a perfect existance, but just when we(Caitia and I) had finished our traning and become adults we were forced to seek refuge here.
We came to the Mista Haven after our planet was taken over by the Heshes, a group of cat-men who enjoyed the taste of Dragon flesh. The senior mages of our society created a gate through which our whole race was suppose to pass through to saftey, but Blue Kktath, a traitor to our kind, told the Heshes about our plan, and set up a trap for us. In the end only me and Caitia manged to get through the gate, before it closed and most likely all other the Rose Dragons were killed(although we aren't sure, cause we haven't heard anything about either another Rose Dragon or the Heshes since the gate closed). So we consider ourselves to be the last of the Rose Dragons.
