Dreams & Visions was founded in 1988 to provide an
international showcase for short literary fiction written from a
Christian perspective. Favorably reviewed by the mainstream Christian press,
Dreams & Visions published thirty-six issues before closing to submissions in 2009. No literary genre was excluded from consideration by the editors. Metafiction, science fiction, humor,
fantasy, magic realism, horror, romance, as well as stories of a contemporary or
inspirational nature all found a home in this little digest publication. Authors from Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Kenya, Nigeria, United States and Zambia appeared in the Dream, and many launched successful writing careers. Bibliography of Authors

"Dreams & Visions is a terrific magazine...I think everyone who loves Christian fiction should subscribe." Rebecca Shelley, Editor, Dragons, Knights and Angels.
"I would urge all lovers of the arts to get hold of one or all
of the chapbook-style publications by contacting Skysong Press. Be
prepared for anything: your emotions might vary from anger to deep
compassion; you may laugh, or you may cry; and it is highly likely
you will wrestle with your heart-beliefs like Jacob and the
angel...Within their pages I met (among others) an android who has a
born-again experience, a modern day St. Francis struck by lightning,
a child who loses her mother at Christmas, and a man who jumps off
buildings so he can share a secret. This is fiction at its most
compelling: when something we know as intimately as breathing is
turned askew and we, viewing it from a different angle, see it as if
it were brand new." ChristianWeek, Canada, Reviewed by Fay S. Lapka.
"Dreams & Visions is a
welcome addition to the Christian canon and able to hold its own with
new short fiction across the board." Kamikaze Magazine,
USA, Reviewed by Blaine Howard.
"An international showcase for short literary
fiction written from a Christian perspective...Material is fresh, and
characters alive and interactive in these stories." Zene,
UK.
"New writing from Canada which seeks to present a Christian message strongly and forthrightly, this book is interesting and enlightening." Studio, Australia, Reviewed by Paul Grover.
