Acoustic Neuroma
- 10% of all intracranial tumours
- it is a benign schwannoma of vestibular branch of 8th cranial nerve (vestibulo-cochlear nerve)
- typically present as progressive unilateral SN hearing loss, unilateral tinnitis (ringing in ears) and unsteadyness, but not vertigo
- diagnosis is made by Audiogram - ABR - CT scan or MRI
