An Evening in The City 160704

16 July 2004, 7pm. It was truly an unforgettable and enjoyable evening as Jeff was finally in Singapore after nearly 2 years.

Althought some of us may have seen him in other countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan or China during these 2 years but nothing is more memorable than being able to welcome him to sunny Singapore again to catch up with all his fans.

The feeling was like meeting a nice long time friend again.

Thank goodness the rain from morning and early afternoon stopped at around 3pm. It has been raining the few days before (is Jeff still the rain boy?) but on this special evening, the weather was kind to us. Not only our open air rooftop party was rain-free, we were also greeted by a light cool breeze that evening!

The atmosphere for the whole eveing was relaxed and also fun. First all all, we welcomed Jeff by blasting S.H.E's "Superstar" as he walked out of the elevator to the roof terrace. Jeff was a little shy and akward i think ...haha. After which, we had performed a short comical play to show him how much we missed him. It was all in good fun.

We had a little chit chat with him and found out more about his new album (its gonna be great!) and also what has he been up too for so many months. The games followed and this was really my favourite part. Jeff was really accomodating and helped each group to win the different games.

It was during the games and chit chat session that i appreciate that Jeff was just so down to earth and real. Unlike many other stars. I understand that being a famous artiste is really not easy, having to meet demands from media, fans, record companies...but here seeing Jeff spending some good times with fans gives me a very nice and warm feeling. The thought of seeing Jeff relaxing on a chair on such a nice cosy beautiful night just naturally talking to us is probably the best moment in my many years as his fan.

We may be just fans but with Jeff , this special bond and memories will stay forever.
