About Zhanna Shusterman

I am a graduate of the Transformational Arts College and a designated Human Relations Practitioner by the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners. I am also a Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner, qualified to provide guidance in building optimal health and wellness.

As a spiritual psychotherapist, I work in a respectful, non-judgmental manner. I use a holistic approach with my clients, to help them with internal and external realities. I establish a comfortable connection with each client. I am deeply committed to my work and find joy in being of service.

I welcome a diverse range of clients into my psychotherapy practice and I am committed to helping my clients with:

  • Childhood and family issues
  • Life transition difficulties
  • Career related issues
  • Addiction and eating disorders
  • Anger issues
  • Relationship issues

My approach to healing uses many tools, such as focusing, guided imagery, voice dialoguing, inner child work, empty chair techniques, and more. I specialize in balancing body, mind and spirit to create awareness, which enables my clients to find self-empowerment. Healing takes place through a process that unfolds out of the relationship between the client and me.

I have volunteered in a variety of settings and places, including:

  • ACT (Aids Committee Toronto)
  • CCAC (Community Care Access Centre)
  • 519 Community Centre
  • 19th Annual Fashion Cares

Although education and work experience are necessary for becoming a psychotherapist, I feel that having life experience is more important. Often, it can be difficult to relate to people when they have had experiences that you have not. Some of the hardships that I have experienced include recovering from a serious illness and grieving over the deaths of three loved ones in one year while going through a very difficult and painful divorce, that left me a single parent raising two children.

The hardships that I have overcome caused profound changes in my consciousness and forced me to grow on a personal as well as spiritual level. I draw from these experiences to inspire you and others to find courage, hope, strength, direction and purpose in your own life.

The past can serve as a turning point for a new beginning. Don’t let your past control your present and future. Take charge of your life and make the transition to a brighter future.

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE, GROWTH IS OPTIONAL!
