Freedom and Modern Mythology
I am aching for isolation
For just one moment of separation
Where I can sever the cords and cable
Of this constant convenient connection
They say that such an escape is possible
That wireless is freedom's new form
But all it means is that the cage has expanded
And you can't see what ties you down
With every invention comes a garauntee of goodness
And we are all so easy to deceive
Offer us a promise of progress
And we will instantly believe
After all, isn't technology our salvation?
Won't we someday invent our way to Eden?
