anything could happen up here
assassination
true love
or even the end of the world
a magnificent explosion of divinity
widening across the sky
as I stand outside
eleven stories above
the quiet streets
red flourecent glow
telling me this isn't real
but this fever of expectation
reminds me that I'm alive
that somehow
in this artificial light
I exist more persistently
than before
I could remain here forever
forgetting that there is life
beyond this secluded scene
this is the place stories are born
and it seems so easy
to slip inside one
and disappear forever
