Thermal and Acoustic Insulation

Insulation is a necessity for the place you live or work. It keeps your place warm in the winter and holds the cool, air conditioned air in the summer. Insulation helps muffle disturbing sounds from your neighbours. It is also necessary for protecting and preventing your home from structrual damage such as rot and mold, which can have serious repercussions if left unnoticed.

At Delta ZGJ services we specialize in insulation for your home, office, garage, and any place there is a need:

  • Cellulose blow-in system for attics, walls, ceilings
  • Insulate small wall cavities 1 inch+
  • Sprayed foam insulation

Attic insulation

<< Cellulose insulation being applied into the attic. R-Value is brought up to an R-40 - 45, depending on what the city requires. R-40 is about 10 - 11 inches. Attic before and after cellulose insulation.

Ceiling and wall insulation

ceiling insulation

<< Cellulose is being applied to the ceiling for thermal and acoustic purposes. 1" holes are drilled every 16" between the studs. The cellulose travels about 5 feet both ways so for larger walls, an additional series of 1" holes is required. The holes are then patched up with plaster. When the plaster in the holes is dry, it easy to sand and paint over.

Icenyne Spray-Foam Insulation

<< These Images show the Icenyne Spray-Foam insulation system and how it is applied to ceilings and walls. Spray foam  insulation is very efficient. It acts as a vapor barrier and can be applied most anywhere. It also provides a higher R-Value compared to conventional insulation techniques.

Flat roof insulation

flat roof insulation

<< Last image shows insulation being blown into a flat roof. 1" holes are drilled from the top every 16" and the insulation is blown in. The holes are then sealed with roofing tar for an air tight seal.

About Cellulose? Insulation

  • Cellulose? is a fire retardant material.
  • It deters rodents and other critters.
  • It has a higher R-Value than fiberglass.
  • It does not contain any harmfull chemicals or additives such as asbestos or formaldehyde.
  • Can be applied into empty wall cavities, ceilings, garages and attics.
  • Doesn't lose its R-Value when it is cold.
  • Is cost efficient.
  • Absorbs sound waves and reduces noise transfer between ceilings and walls.
