Do You Want Know What Your Cat Thinks About You?

TOKYO (July 16) - After selling 300,000 pet-lovers on the Bowlingual gadget that supposedly translates a dog's bark into human language, a toymaker hopes to parlay that success into a new hit product: Meowlingual.

The toymakers plan to make this device the shape of a cat. They pla to sell it in Japan in November for a mere $74.00, it will change a cats meow and purr's into human phrases, such as: "I can't stand it". Now the next question to be asked is this real... or is this a fake little cheap toy that makes you think that you are telling what your cat is saying?

This device uses scientific data on animal sounds from a Tokyo Labratory that also analyzes human voices... they work on making cell phone software and help solve crimes. Basically the specialize in voice waves and things like that.

Takara the toy maker has already created ones for dogs... called the Bowlingual... and they plan to sell it in the United States in August, but they are not yet sure about selling the Meowlingual over here also.

The Meowlingual is a little different from the Bowlingual though, ``Cats are smaller and more finicky than dogs so we had to change the design a little,'' Takara spokeswoman Maiko Hasumi said. The Meowlingual wont strap to the collar like the Bowlingual... you have to hold it up to the cats mouth and hope the cat "says something".
