Tommy
After losing his powers as the Green Ranger, Tommy left the team, and for a time, left Angel Grove. But during Tommy's absence, Zedd's monsters, though still defeatable, were giving the Rangers a tougher time than any of Rita's monsters ever did. This prompted Zordon and Alpha to get to work in creating a new power ranger, to take the place of the fallen Green Ranger. The Rangers were happily suprised that Tommy returned as the White Ranger, whose power was derived from the light of good, and was unable to be taken away by evil, unlike the Green Ranger, whose powers were corrupted by the evil forces of Rita and Zedd.
