Till Death Do Us Part - Chapter 5

They had dropped Justus off at the PCPD for business. Now they stood in
the elevator together. As the ding let out and the doors opened, Carly
whispered "Home." and turned to Jason with a smile. She felt herself reach
for his hand as they reached the front door.

"Oh my!" she cried out as she stepped into the livingroom and looked
around. "Everything looks exactly how I remember it! Where's Michael?"

"Right here." Latecia said said coming down the stairs with Michael in her
arms.

Carlys face lit up as she ran to him and grabbed him. She hugged him close
and slightly rocked back and forth, as tears rolled down her face. "Oh,
Mikey. My little man. My precious little darling." She made her way to the
couch and sat down, holding Michael in his lap. "Hey you. I've missed you
so much. I'm your mommy. Yes, I am. Yes I am."

Michael looked at her, and slowly a smile came across his face as he
reached out, grabbed her hair and cooed "Mama!"

Carly looked up toward Jason and smiled through her tears.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carly was holding Michael as Jason led her up the stairs and toward the
main bedroom. "I had to move all out stuff into here." he said as he opened
the door. "Just in case, you know? This way it looks like we share a room."
Carly stepped inside and glanced around. It was a big room. The walls were
painted a dark blue and there was a blue carpet also. Their were three
windows, each with blue binds. There was a bureau, a closet and a vanity
set, all made of a dark wood.
Carlys eyes rested on the vabity table, "Sonny had a vanity table?"
"No." Jason replied. "There was a dresser, I got that for you."
"Oh." Was all Carly could think to say as she continued o look around, there
was a door to the bathroom, a floor length mirror and a king size bed. Her
eyes rested on the bed. Where they suppose to sleep together?
He saw her eyes rest on the bed. "I was thinking you could sleep in here, and
I'd sleep in your old bedroom. It's closer than my old one."
"Jase, I can sleep in my bedrom, it's you home, you should get the bigger
room." Carly said quietly.
"No, it's our home. We're in this for the long run, you know? You should get
the big bedroom."
Not wanting to discuss sleeping arrangements, Carly just nodded her head
and looked around. "He liked blue."
"Yeah, well if you don't like it, you can re-decorate or something."
"No, no it's fine. I like blue." She said nodding her head and than smiled. "I
like anything that's not hospital grey!"
"Was it really bad?" Jason asked quietly
Carly looked up at him thoughtfully. She sat on the bed and placed Michael
next to her. She watched him crawl around untill she quietly said. "It
depends. Like if I thought about Michael, and not being able to hold him,
yeah. It was really bad. I would wake up, sometimes and......" she shook her
head and took a deep breath to prevent the tears in her eyes from falling.
She put on a small smile and said "But besides that, all I did was excercise
with Fabio, talk to Dr. Grey and sleep."
Jason studied her, and saw that she didn't want to talk about it. "So, later,
we're going to Lukes, k? Justus reccomended that we announce our
engagement there. And I'm sure you want to see your family."
"My family?" She laied back on the bed and shut her eyes as she let out a
short laugh
"Yeah, um...I don't think so, can't we elope?"
He gave her a confused look and sat next to her. "I thought you and Bobbie
were doing good."
"Yeah? Well....I don't know." She sat up slowly and let out a loud sigh.
"Forget it. Forget I said anything. Whatever's best for Michael, right? You
want me to go to Lukes? Fine. No biggie. I can do that. It's no big deal,
right?" She turned to him and he replied
"Right."
Till Death Do Us Part - Chapter 6
"So, who knows I'm back?" Carly asked nervously from the back of the
limo.
"Justus." Jason replied, watching her carefully
"Justus? That's it? You didn't tell Bobbie or anything?" Carly asked surprised
"No, I needed to talk to you first, you know? Besides I've been avoiding
Bobbie since the truth about Michaels parternity came out."
"Wow! Avoiding people and lieing, you sure have changed." Carly said
quietly
"Carly, I didn't have much of a choice." Jason explained in a harsh tone.
"Yeah, I know." She whisped and began to fidget with her brown dress.
"You look nice." Jason told her
"Yeah? hmm....I don't know, but I didn't have much of a choice, most of my
old clothes don't really fit anymore." She said
"That's because you've lost so much weight. Do me a favor, eat something
tonight, you look like you're about to wither away!"
"Yeah? Well, I'm gonna be to nervous tonight to eat anything. So wait, tell
me the plans again, so I don't mess things up."
"OK, we're getting married this Sunday, and than we're going to Puerto Rico
for the honeymon."
"Jase, I don't need a honeymoon, really. I don't want to leave my son again."
"Carly, we really need to take one. It's only natural when two people in love
get married they want to be alone, we have to pretend where in love,
remember?"
"Yeah, so why Puerto Rico?" Carly asked
Jason was going to ignore the question with a shrug, but realized she'd know
sooner or later. "Carly? If I tell you something, promise you won't tell
anyone?"
"I promise." Carly replied seriously and leaned foward. The curiosity was
getting to her.
"Sonny's there. I figure if we go there, we can say we're staying at his hotel,
but stay at his place. The guards and everything are already there, and I just
figured....."
"Yeah, sounds good." Carly said quietly. "So, he owns a hotel?
"Yeah, and a casino."
"Oh, sounds nice."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Luke Spencer was behind the bar. In front of him sat Bobbie and Jerry. At
the other end of the bar was Felica and Mac, between the two couples sat
an impatient Justus. Brenda and Jax sat at a table near them. At another table
sat AJ, Edward, Alan (who doesn't have a drug problem, because that
storyline just bothers me.) and Monica. Not to far from them, Taggert and
Dara sat at a table.

Besides them, the place was pretty much deserted and no one paid much
attention to the door, so Carly and Jason were able to slip in un-notticed.
Jason wound his arm around Carlys waist and whispered into her ear
"Remember, we're in love, this is a great night, we're a happy couple about
to announce their engagement!"

Carly could only manage a nod. Her eyes were focused on Bobbie. She was
about to lie to her mother, again. She knew she would dissaprove and ask
questions. Carly also knew that she'd have to remember this was all an act,
otherwise her 6 months at the institution would have been for nothing.

Bobbie glanced up, and did a double take. "Carly?" she cried out in pure
confusion. That couldn't be her daughter. Her daughter was in a mental
institution. And that certainly couldn't be her daughter who was embraced in
Jasons arms. But yup, that was Carly.

Bobbies outburst had brought nearly everyones attention to them. It made
Carly squirm, but when she looked up at Jason fake happy face, she
remembered, she had to be happy too. She placed a big smile on her face.

She saw Bobbie rush over to her, and was surprised when she felt herself
ripped from Jasons arms into Bobbies. She quickly looked over at Jason
with a 'What do I do look?'

He merley offered her a smile, and Carly slowly returned the hug.

Finally as they pulled apart, Carly saw Bobbie was crying. Bobbie had so
many questions and she just began bursting them out. "What are you doing
here? Since when are you out? Why didn't you call me? How are? How's
Michael? Carly..."

"Whoa, whoa." Jason interrupted her, when he saw Carly shoot him a
helpless look. "I know you must have a lot of questons, but Carly hasn't had
a good meal in quite some time, so why don't we sit down, order some food,
we can try to answer some of your questions, and..." Jason caught Justus
warning eye and quickly put his arms around Carlys waist and pulled her
close, with a big smile he added "We have an announcement, don't we
baby?"

Carly gave him a surprised look. She was not prepared for his actions, but a
tiny look in his eyes reminded her what to do. She matched his grin and
replied. "We sure do!"

Bobbie gave the a questioning look, but followed as the walked over to the
bar, Jason with his arms wrapped around Carly.

AJ stood ready to attack them, but Monica pulled him down, reminding him
not to cause a scene, it would only damage their case. Mac looked ready to
pounce on Jason, but Felica put her hand on his shoulder to calm him.
Brenda leaned in toward Jax saying how she couldn't believe Jason broke
Robins heart and was all over Carly. Taggert and Dara both looked
disgusted.

At the bar, Jason helped Carly onto the bar stool and sat next to her. Jerry
gave Jason a glare and kissed Carlys hand welcoming her home. Bobbie sat
betwen Jerry and Carly as Justus approached. "Carly, how have your first
few hours of freedom been treating you?" He gave her a look and Carly
quickly caught on.

She turned toward Jason and with a dreamy look on her face replied
"Couldn't be better."

Jason smiled back and took her hand. Justus smiled at the two, happy that
they were both such good actors. They really seemed in love.

Luke raised an eyebrow and asked "How'd you get sprung?"

"Jason got me out, a little early." She replied with a bright smile.

"Carly, are you sick?" Bobbie asked worriedly

"Sick?" Carly asked confused. "Why would you think I was sick?"

"You seem so thin. And I just thought maybe you were sick, so they let you
out or something." Bobbie said slightly embarresed at her silly concerns.

"No, they let her out because they had no right to hold her." Jason explained
"And she's so thin because she didn't like the food there and she developed
an intrest in aerobics classes." Jason concluded teasingly, raising an eyebrow
at her.

When she heared Justus snicker, she realized Dr.Grey must have told them
about the aerobics instructer. She slightly looked down and blushed. "Oh,
you know about Fabio." she said quietly.

Jason and Justus' snickers turned into deep manly laughter, so Carly slowly
pulled her head up and slightly shrugged, while a small embarrassed smile
played on her lips and said. "I was his most dedicated student. He told me
so. If we weren't in a nut house, I bet he would've asked me out!"

"Well, than I'm happy you were in a nut house." Jason said and ruffled her
hair with a big smile.

"What's going on between you two?" Luke asked bluntly

Carly looked toward Jason who looked at Justus and nodded. Jason stood
up and said louldly "Me and Carly are engaged."

Till Death Do Us Part - Chapter 7

"Me and Carly are engaged."

The noise level in Lukes dropped to zero. Everyone had heared and
everyone was staring. Finally Justus broke the silence. With a big smile he
sad "Well, congratualtions!"

He shook Jasons hand and gave Carly a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I
know that you two will be so happy together."

"Thank you Justus." Carly said with a grateful smile

"When?" Bobbies stunned voice rang out"Sunday." Carly replied quietly

"My,my my. Jason Morgan and Miss. can't pick a last name Carly. Who
would have ever thought it?" Luke asked with a laugh.

"Well, I hope you'll both be happy." Jerry said in his thick Australian accent.
"Carly, I know you'll make a beautiful bride."

"Thanks." Carly said quietly"Carly, are you sure....?"Bobbie began softly.

For a moment Carly felt the ugre to yell no, she wasn't sure, but instead she
lifted her head and plasted a huge smile on her face. "What's not to be sure
about? I'm going to marry the love of my life!"

She turned toward Jason, and he reached out for her hand and pulled her
close. "We know it's soon, but we just couldn't wait." He said strongly "It's
going to be small and intamite. Just friends and family."

Mac quickly got across the room and approached Jason. "You low life,
good for nothing hood. I could kill you. How dare you break Robin's heart
and marry this....this lieing tramp!"

Jason just gave him his poker face. Felica came by and dragged Mac out of
Lukes, with Brenda and Jax right behind them. AJ appeared out of nowhere
and grabbed Carlys arm and turned her towards him."You lieing, coniving
bitch! I could kill you for trying to take my son away, and now this stunt?
You're a good for nothing, cheap whore!"

"Hey Junior." Luke warned him loudly. "Watch it."

AJ let go of her and looked from her to Jason and finally spat out "You two
make me sick."

With that he stormed out of the place with Monica and Alan, casting hateful
glances at Carly, right behind him. Edward walked toward Carly and Jason
and Jason quickly said. "Don't even bother old man."

"Hrruumph!!! You two are sickening, and I'm going to see to it that you
never see Michael again!" With that he stormed put of the resteraunt.
Leaving Carly and Jason to answer tons of questions, and accusing glares.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jason, Justus and Carly all walked into the Penthouse, all wearing tired
expessions.
Carly collapsed onto the couch and let out a long sigh. "Well, that was
exhausting."
"Well at least you accomplished what you set out to do." Justus said
positively
Carly rubbed her forehead and closed her eyes. She remembered Bobbie
pulling her aside. She had called her a fool. She said she was delusional, that
Jason loved Robin, not her. She had said this was all about Michael. Carly
had agreed with everything Bobbie said, but she couldn't tell her that. She
had to keep up the act, for Michael. Her son. Bobbie had rushed off saying
that Carly would never learn, and she was foolish to think that after 6 months
of thearpy, her daughter would have matured a little.
As Bobbie had slammed Lukes door behind her, Carly had felt as though
Bobbie was shutting the door to the mother/daughter relationship Carly had
dreamed of in the mental institution. Quietly she muttured "Well I only
accomplished ruining any chance I had at a real relationship with Bobbie."
She had said it mostly to herself, and didn't realize she had said it very loudly,
and the thought that Jason and Justus had heared her, didn't cross her mind.
This was why she didn't notice the concearned glances that they looked at
her with. She just shook her head, and with her eyes still closed said, loudly,
for the mens benifit. "Yeah, I guess. But it seemed that all we did was anger
AJ." She thoughtfully lift her head and opened her eyes and looked at the
two men. "Isn't that bad?"
"If he was angery, it was because he knew what all this meant." Justus said
knowingly. "I plan to confront the Quatermaines tomorrow, with our
arrangement. I'm positive, that after disscussing it with their lawyer, they'll
agree."
"Maybe. I hope so. But he sure did seem angery." She said quietly, looking
away.
Jason sat next to her and after a while said, "He was angery. Understandably
so if you ask me. That's why I didn't say anything in there. I just figured it
wouldn't bother you. They were just words. I'm sorry if he upset you."
"Don't worry about me, Jase. All that matters is Michael." 'And Bobbie' she
silently added, but quickly erased that thought from her mind. No, not even
Bobbie. Carly strongly held up her head, and in a loud clear voice said.
"Nothing but Michael. I don't need anyone else. Anyone. Nobody. Just
Michael. And I swear, he's gonna have the best relationship with his mom.
I'm gonna be a good mom, even though......" 'I kinda suck as a daughter.'
she silently added. But once again she shook her head. She lowered her
head and in a quieter voice said "I'm gonna check on Michael, take a shower
and go to bed."
She slowly rised and whispered "Night." As she slowly walked up the stairs.
"She seemed pretty upset." Justus observed.
"It's Bobbie." Jason said quietly still looking at the stairs Carly had
dissappeared on. "Bobbie pulled her aside. She seemed mad, and it looked
like she was really laying into Carly, than she rushed off. I guess Carly was
really looking foward to spending quality time with Bobbie."
"That's understandable." Justus said. "Bobbie's her mother."
"Yeah, I guess this is pretty hard on her. She justs gets sprung, from being
locked away from her son for 6 months and now she's engaged, lieing....I
guess it's a lot that she wasn't prepared for." Jason said thoughtfully.
Till Death Do Us Part - Chapter 8
Her tiny body was enveloped by the thick comforter and huge pillows. The
matress was soft, unlike the ones in the institution. Her golden tresses were
sprawled out around her. She was a vision.
The sun was beating down on her, and it lit up her face. The feeling of
sunlight, the warm comfy bed and the silk nightshirt she had on caused her to
moan, out of hapiness and snuggle closer to the warmth of the bed.
Suddenly, Carly felt the bed shift slightly. Her eyes quickly opened, yet she
was still partically asleep. She was able to make out a man's figure sitting on
the edge of the bed. She slightly leaned up on her elbows. "Jason?" she
whispered groggily
'Shoot.' He silently cursed at himself. He had seen how peaceful and content
she had been, and he had tried his best to avoid waking her. "Yeah, it's me
Carly, go back to sleep." he whispered
She ignored him and sat fully up. She began to rub her eyes and asked
"What time is it?"
"It's 6:00." He slightly turned towards her and said. "I'm sorry. I didn't want
to wake you."
"No, it's OK."
He slightly nodded and stood up. Carly saw he was wearing dress pants and
a belt, but nothing else. "You sleep good?" he asked as he began to put on
his white button down shirt.
"Yeah, it was great. So much better than the nights at the hospital. The beds,
if you can call them that, were awfull!! But this bed is comfy."
He turned to her with a smile and said "Good, I'm glad you like it." he lifted
his hand, which held a tie."Do you know how to tie a tie?"
"You're wearing a tie? I thought you hated ties." She asked confused.
"Todays very important."
"Oh." she said solemnly and nodded. She looked up at him. "Can I ask
why?"
He gave a slight laugh and said. "You wouldn't be Carly if you didn't." He
took a deep breath and prepared to tell her what she didn't want to here.
"I'm going to the Quatermaines with Justus." he heared her inhale quickly and
continued. "We plan on settiling everything today. We feel positive that
everything is gonna go our way."
"But you can't be sure." She exhaled slowly and looked deeply into his eyes.
"I'm gonna trust you Jason. If you say you can take care of it, you're gonna
take care of it. I trust you."
He gave her a sympathetic glance. "No you don't" he said quietly. "You
wished you did, but you don't."
"I'm trying, give me that Jase." She thought for a second and said "Hey,
shouldn't I be there?"
"No, it's best if you don't come. You should probably get a wedding dress,
or something. Whatever." He gestured toward the tie again. "So you gonna
help me or not?"
She smiled and said "Yeah." she kicked the covers up and crawled to the
foot of the bed. She kneeled, on the bed, in front of him and began to tie.
"I've never seen you in a tie."
"Hopefully, you never will again." Jason muttured.
"What about on Sunday? What will you wear?" Carly asked quietly.
"I hadn't given it much thought." he responded, matching her quiet tone. "I
guess a dark suit."
"Oh, just wondering" she lamley remarked and finished with his tie. "There all
done."
"Thanks." He reached for his jacket and began to put it on. "Today you
should relax, hang with Michael and do some wedding stuff. Go get a dress
or something. You love to shop."
He watched her lay back down on the bed and sigh. "Shopping for my
wedding dress, all alone."
"You can take Michael and Latecia." Jason suggested
"Yeah, I guess." she muttured and rolled onto her side.
He sat on the edge of the bed and said. "Listen, Bobbie probably felt bad,
you know? Like, you acted crazy, and didn't tell her. You lied to her about
Michaels parternity, she didn't know about you coming home, and than she
finds out we're madly in love and getting married. She must feel bad, that you
two aren't close. She was probably angery and hurt that you didn't confide in
her." He leaned over a little, trying to see over her shoulders. He saw that her
eyes were filled with tears, and he brushed some hair from her face. "She
probably just wanted to be your mom, Carly."
"I wish you were right, but I think she just hates me." Carly whispered as the
tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Jason enveloped her in a friendly hug. "It's gonna be fine Carly. You'll see."
Carly nodded her head and wiped away her tears and looked up at Jason.
"You're right. I don't need Bobbie. I don't need anybody but Michael."
Jason gave her a small smile, stood up and said, "Graciella made an early
breakfast for me. Since you're up, you want to join me?"
Carly smiled brightly and said "Yeah, I'd love to."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Carly and Jason were at the dining room table. They had spent the past 20
min. talking about nothing important, when there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Jason yelled

Carly dropped her fork when she saw the visitor. "Bobbie."

Bobbie stood nervously in the doorway. Slowly she stepped inside and said
"Carly."

Before Johnny could shut the door behind her Justus appeared. He nodded
at Bobbie. "Bobbie, morning Carly. Jason, it's time to go."

"Yeah, OK." Jason said as he stood up. He eyed Bobie as he walked in
front of Carly. He put his hands on her waist and looked her in the eyes.
"Remember what I told you Carly." she nodded and he kissed her forehead.

As Jason and Justus were leaving Carly called out "Jase?" he turned to her
and she slightly smiled. "I trust you."

His face lit up, as he realized that she ment it, and he smiled and replied. "I'll
take care of it Carly."

With that the men were gone, leaving Carly and Bobbie alone .
