Jason was in Sonny's small house that overlooked the ocean. It was really home like. Nothing made it special. There weren't any special paintings kids had drawn or pictures or anything. Sonny had stepped into the kitchen to get them something to drink. Jason pulled out a picture of Michael from his pocket. Michael must have been a little sad with Jason just leaving. He could tell by her voice on the phone that Carly was sad. She sounded so desperate to just get him to answer. He hadn't even called Robin to tell her he was safe. Sonny walked back in, "He's really a cute kid."Jason grinned, "Yeah he is."
"Did you get to say goodbye to him before you left?" Sonny handed him a soda.
"Nah. Carly had taken him away for the night." Jason seemed a little happier every time he said Carly's name.
Sonny didn't know Carly too well, but the only way anybody could do that to a person is if the person was in love with them. Sonny felt a little bad for Robin, but all he wanted was for Jason to be happy. Besides, Robin left and came back. Carly hadn't left Jason once, from what he was told. "Jason, did you get to talk to Carly?"
"Not after Robin ran out. I went after her to settle things and tell her I was leaving for a while. Carly wasn't there when I got back."
"Who are you in love with?"
"What?!" The question caught Jason off-guard.
"It's a simple question: are you in love with Robin or Carly?" Sonny laughed, "That's what you came here to figure out, right?!"
"Well, yeah but--"
"But nothing. Who are you in love with?"
"That's just it--I don't know. I--I don't know, ok?" Jason answered and took a deep breath.
"Let's put it this way. A new guy shows up in Port Charles. Would you rather him be interested in Carly or Robin?" Sonny was trying to make this easy.
Jason let out a slight giggle, "Are you serious?"
"Yes, I'm very serious. Have you ever thought that right now as we speak a guy could be after Carly or Robin? From what you've told me, they're both attractive and any guy would be a fool not to want them." Sonny knew this was true, because Jax had wanted Brenda and he got her.
"I never thought about it that way." Jason frowned.
"You have to start thinking about these things, or you're going to lose both of them," Sonny told Jason.
Jason listened to every word Sonny said, because most of the time Sonny was right.
**********Carly, Bobbie, and Michael entered the empty penthouse. Or so it seemed empty now that Jason was gone. Carly was actually feeling better, now that she had snapped at A.J. She got all those angry feelings out of her system. Carly went upstairs to lay Michael down for a nap. Bobbie waited downstairs. Carly came back down. Bobbie got up, "What happened with A.J.?"
"I just yelled and shouted at him while he apologized for being a jerk." Carly sighed, "Same old, same old."
"Carly, how are you feeling?" Bobbie was a little worried about Carly's baby.
"I'm fine, Bobbie. I'm not that far along so I don't think I did that much damage." Carly grinned.
"You can never be too careful," Bobbie let the nurse inside her speak out.
Carly shook Bobbie, joking, "I'm ok!"
"Ok. Well, I have to say today was exactly uneventful." Bobbie looked at her watch. "I gotta go. Lucas is probaly wondering where I am." Bobbie hugged Carly, "I'll see you later, ok? Take care of youself," Bobbie insisted and exited.
Carly looked around with not much to do and started to think, which she really didn't want to do. All she would do is think about Jason. She tried to think of something to do and the phone rang. Carly answered pretty fast, "Hello?" There was no response. Carly knew it had to be him. "Jason? Jason, is that you? Are you ok?" He still didn't answer. "Jason, please talk to me," Carly begged. But there was nothing but a dial tone to respond. Carly slowly hung up the phone and sat. She started to cry into her hands because he wouldn't even speak to her.
