Projects

The group engages in community/grassroots organizing work, performing comprehensive cultural and political tasks. In articulting such functions, our programs promote cultural action in the framework of people’s art as a dynamic component of organizing, mobilization, education and development work among artists and struggling sectors of society within the context of peoples issues and concerns.

We believe in the democratization of art as a response to the previlingl elitist orientation of the mainstream art scene, universites and colleges, which excludes the masses from artistic education and belittles their innate capacities for artistic expressions. In  a poverty stricken country like the Philippines , our projects seek to utilize the culture and arts as a material force in shaping values, capacities and visions of the people that would contribute significantly to alleviating their socio-economic miseries.
