Margo reassures Caleb that they were forced to arrest him. Caleb tells Tom and Margo how worried he is for Ellie. Margo expresses worries to her colleagues. Tom calls Emily to try and discourage her from going to the funeral. Tom and Margo visit Caleb in jail. Caleb is demanding to know why they sent Ellie up to the funeral. Caleb tells Margo and Tom that he sent Kirk up to Lake Forest to get Ellie out of there safely. Joe calls Margo and Tom at the station from Lake Forest. They listen in to Ellie and Phillips conversation. |

Tom and Margo still listening in hear that Tonio arrives at Phillip Lombard's. Alone at the police station, Tom and Margo share lunch together; Tom promises Margo that he will nail Lombard. Margo says she can't stand waiting, this causes Tom to share his thoughts to Margo about how he felt two years ago when she disappeared. Tom kisses her on the nose. Margo tells Tom how much she loves him and how she didn't want to hurt him. Tom checks in on Finley's condition. Margo brings to Tom's attention that Mrs. Lombard has not been questioned yet. Tom and Frannie have a brotherly/sisterly talk. Tom calls Lyla looking for Margo. Tom tells Caleb that he agrees with him. |
February 6 |
Margo arrives at the Lombard's to speak to Connie. Lombard family grills Margo, but Connie agrees to speak to her alone. They speak about Ellie and her relationship with Brock as a friend only, due to her break up with Margo's brother, Craig. Margo looks to Connie for answers to help clear Caleb. Tom joins Lyla, Casey, Lien and Duke at the Mona Lisa, worried as to what Margo is up to. Phillip interrupts the conversation between Connie and Margo. Phillip sends his men to follow Margo to the car. Tom reminds Kirk how important it is to keep the information he is privy to quiet. Margo calls Tom at the Mona Lisa from a jet. She tells him she was in Lake Forest talking to Mrs. Lombard. Tom is aggravated with her. She can't just go running off every time she has an instinct and that she could have put herself or the case in big jeopardy. Tom apologizes to Lyla for blowing up at the table; he was steamed at Margo when he hung up. Lyla begins to sing, when Margo enters. Lyla asks the pianist to change songs. Lyla then sings "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful". Margo asks Tom not to be angry. Tom responds, "How can I be angry with you when your mom is singing our favorite song." Margo answers, "Yeah momma always did have perfect timing." |
February 7 |
The next morning in the bedroom, Margo wakes up Tom. Margo tells Tom that he was talking in his sleep at night about her irrational nature. Margo asks Tom if he is still mad at her. Tom tells her he is still a little ticked off at her cause she could have gotten herself killed. Tom said she was irresponsible "taking the law into her own hands". Margo and Tom continue cuddling in bed. Margo changes the subject to after the case breaks. She says she is going to find herself pregnant with Toms help, take a long maternity leave, learn how to cook and keep a house, be the best mommy and wife possible, and then retire from the force. Therefore there won't be any more arguments. Tom tells her not to take any more risks cause he doesn't want to lose her. Margo says you will never lose me and they continue to kiss. At the station, Margo tells Ellie how brave she is. Ellie asks Tom to release Caleb and Tom explains he can't right now he needs Caleb to buy him time. Tom and Margo hug and kiss and then Margo reminds Tom that tomorrow is the second anniversary of Lien's arrival to Oakdale. Margo asks Lyla to throw a party. Tom and Nancy discuss Bob and Kim and their relationship. Craig calls Margo; Margo says she and Tom are looking out for Ellie. Over coffee at the station, Hal speaks to Margo and asks her to send flowers to Barbara for her show. Joe calls Tom to tell him Finley is coming out of his coma; Mac, Tom, and Margo are excited. |
February 8 |
Tom speaks to Joe and finds out that Finley is trying to come out of the coma. Tom says he is on his way. Margo goes to the hospital to check out Casey's new computer. Kim asks Bob to invite Margo and Tom to dinner, but Margo declines due to the case. Lyla comes in with a soda; Casey asks Margo to tell Ly to stop bringing him snacks on every break. Ly says to Casey, "Who said I brought it for you?" and gives it to Margo. Margo thanks Lyla for singing that song last night, it saved her marriage. Lyla asks what problems Margo is having with Tom and Casey says she always has to have something to worry about. Lyla leaves and Casey tells Margo about his daydreams of miracles. Margo reassures him that he has them in momma and Kate, then jokingly hits him. Tom calls to ask Margo to bring the recorded tapes to him at Finley's hospital room. Tom tries to get Finley to talk. Margo enters and gives the tapes to Tom with a kiss. Finley opens his eyes, says airport locker #3 and dies. |
February 9 |
Ellie is waiting at the station when Margo and Tom arrive. They let Ellie know that Laurence Finley died. Lien arrives to tell Tom about her jewelry success at the fashion show and getting an interview. Tom apologizes to Lien for not spending anytime with her and acknowledges her 2nd anniversary. Marjorie Lombard calls the station and speaks to Margo looking for information about Brock's death. Marjorie asks to contact Ellie or Emily. Margo gives Ellie the phone who identifies the woman. Margo and Tom visit Caleb in jail to tell him about Finley's death and Marjorie coming to Oakdale. Caleb wants to know why he can't be let out with all this new information. Caleb doesn't trust them to take care of Ellie and threatens to take his information to Duncan for The Argus. Tom says he is close and asks for 24 hours. Back at the station, Tom tries to talk with Emily to dissuade her from going on television and tells her she will ruin the case and is being manipulated by Phillip. Connie arrives and will only speak to Margo. |

Lien calls Margo at the station to tell her she is at Bob and Kim's to watch Chris. Margo asks Lien about Duke's plans in regards to the party honoring Lien that evening. Barbara comes to the station, to see if Margo knows when Hal is returning from DC. Barbara starts with Margo about knowing more about Hal's where abouts and lording things over her head, referring to Adam. Barbara tells Margo not to tell her how to handle her marriage. Margo assures her that she is not her enemy and she wants their marriage to be solid. Margo knows that Hal is going to want to tell Adam before he is eighteen years old and when that time comes both marriages should be solid. Margo takes Marjorie's statement and lets her know that she will be called to testify at the trial. Marjorie asks Margo to arrange for her to see Brock's mother and her mother. |

Everyone is at the Peretti's for Lien's anniversary party. Margo says how great Lien looks; Tom isn't sure about the dress and Casey comments on what a knock out she is. Margo says if Tom had his way, Lien would be shopping at St. Mary's convent. Tom tells Ellen that it will be several months before the case goes to trial and Emily will have to testify; she is a key witness. Tom gives a toast to Lien. He says he missed her first birthday and several after that, but he looks at this day as her birthday because that is the day she changed my life forever. He tells her he will always love her. He proceeds to give her a car. Margo comforts Casey. He is upset since he couldn't help Ly get ready for the party and when Kate's birthday comes up and Ly will be the one to lift Kate up to blow out the candles. Margo tells him not to give up hope. Casey says that this is as good as it is going to get. Margo responds telling him that is just fine with Lyla -she loves him. Casey wants to know how long that is going to last; how long do you love a man who can't put his arms around you? Lyla overhears this. Margo and Tom look on when Lien speaks to Craig on the phone. |

At the Party, Frannie notices that Tom seems more relaxed now and better with the Lombard case being over. John wants Margo to find Andy. Tom and Margo discuss parenting. Tom talks to Bob about the bond between Hal and Margo because of Adam, when Bob mentions Kim and John's bond. |

Tom and Jason have drinks at the Mona Lisa. Lisa asks Jason to send Hal home and Tom questions her concern for Hal and Barbara. Caleb asks Tom and Jason if he can take a trip to Waco, Texas. Tom tells Lyla to "break a leg". Duncan asks Tom if he from Margo anything about the man lurking around. Tom congratulates Jessica on the Mullen case. Tom arrives home. Margo pulls Tom by the tie to the chair where she cuddles and kisses him while on his lap. Tom tells Lien and Duke to have a good time (but not too good of a time) at the Mona Lisa. Margo lets her hair down and runs into Tom's arms. Bob joins Tom and Margo for dinner. Margo tells Bob she is sorry that they haven't been able to spend more time with Andy. Margo defends Kim's actions with John. Tom and Bob discuss how they are in the same situation. Tom says it is difficult to share Adam and how the bond between Hal and Margo is still there. He thinks maybe when Margo and he have their own child it might get easier and Bob says no it is still there look at Kim and John. Tom commends Bob on the job he is doing handling it. Bob leaves and Tom and Margo kiss and hug. Margo finishes a telephone conversation with Hal and then snuggles with Tom on the floor in front of the fire. Tom tells Margo that he is thinking of babies and asks her to promise she won't pull any more stunts like going to the Lombard's after she gets pregnant that evening. She says if that happens the baby will be top priority and that she has been thinking of even turning in her badge. Tom says, "I love you". Margo responds, "Talk is cheap, so are you." Tom replies, "Takes one to know one" and they fall to the floor in front of the fire. |
