3/30/99 - 6/10

6/10/99 2:30pmPST - Got an email from Rob today, he got his new boards, so his machine is back in business! He also let me know of another spotting of a cyberball machine at an arcade. I added it to the "Arcades With Cyberball" Link.

6/10/99 7:06amPST - Darrin came on over to play some cyberball last night, it was a blast! Thanks for coming down!

5/29/99 9:25pmPST - Just for those guys(/gals?) out there that are trying to play cyberball on their machine, one tech tip if want to just play and not read the instructions...put the ROM(cyberb2p.zip) into the ROM directory created when you unzipped the emulator(mame32b-035b13.zip).

5/27/99 11:48amPST - Well, now they went and did it. Ray and Martin just came over last Saturday to play, and today they got a Tournament Cyberball cab! Talk about addicted! Congrats, guys!

5/25/99 8:59amPST - Ok, BIG NEWS, guys! MAME has released MAME version 13b, which if you wonder why I'm mentioning it, is because it supports CYBERBALL! It only has support for the 2 Player regular version, but don't complain!! I think you might even be able to play over a network!(Not on this emulator, though) Check out the ROMS link!

By the way, you can try using the other cyberball roms on the page, but I really doubt it will work, let me know if it does!

5/24/99 7:24amPST - Well, Martin and Ray came on down to play a few games of Cyberball, it was pretty fun! Hope you guys had fun!

5/20/99 9:18amPST - Added more to the FOR SALE list, check out the sideart for sale!

I think more cyberball players coming down to play in a few weekends! We'll see how that one goes!

My stupid right monitor's vertical movement is broken! I replaced the pot and nothing! Hopefully I can get a guy to come on down to fix it for cheap!

5/10/99 7:18amPST - Well, there was alot of cyberball playing this weekend! Got to play Mike, Alex and Bryan, and I didn't do so well...At least I know now I gots to practice against the 3-4 blitz! Thanks again for coming down, guys!

5/7/99 10:43amPST - Ok, it's ON! Tomorrow I'll be playing against 3 guys who really know how to play the game! Wish me luck!

Oh Crap, the vertical movement is all screwed on my right monitor! I'm going to try and replace the pot and hope I can get it work for tomorrow. Cross yer fingers...I'll remember to discharge the monitor too...zzzzzzap!

Fixed the links in the RESOURCES section. If anyone sees any screw ups like that, please email me!

5/5/99 1:05amPST - Man it must be luck, but I keep running into Cyberball stuff for sale on the web today! Make sure you check out the FOR SALE link!

5/5/99 11:54amPST - If you are into emulation, this will make sense to you!! Looks like MAME will be releasing support for Cyberball 2072!! I have seen many people on the web asking for this, and it might happen! Seems like it's not going to be Tourney, and I think it's the two player version. Now if they could only network the game...click here for the link.

5/5/99 11:21amPST - I've ran into my buddy who lives in the area and he knows how to play cyberball! I'm teaching him at the moment.. So I've been playing alot recently. Getting better, I think...I hope!

Besides that, I think this weekend I might have 3 good cyberball players coming on in to play! Two of 'em must be good cause they are flying in!! Now I can see how I do against some strong competition! I'll let you know how that goes, if I win! :)

4/23/99 3:12pmPST - Got an email from Bryan about an error he's getting on his cyberball cab. Anyone seen this before? Here's a snippet of the email..."I have a tourney cabinet CB game also, but it resets sometime and gives me an ERROR........ "P1 ROM AT000000 ERROR U L 7541" ???"
4/28/99 10:43pmPST - Added 2 more things to the FOR SALE link, one a two player cab adn the other a cyberball manual.

4/21/99 3:12pmPST - Well, it seems like my email has been fixed back at work.

Hey don't forget, if I didn't respond to an email of yours 1-3 weeks ago, it's not cause I didn't want to talk to you, it's cause my email was screwed up. Stupid thing wouldn't even bounce back to the sender! Just send it again! Thanks for emailing me again Kev!

4/19/99 1:33pmPST - Hi guys, sorry for not updating the page much recently, but I was in Vegas all of last week. No, not for fun, but for work. But I did have some fun too! :)

Went to Robert Storment's arcade auction last Saturday. No Cyberball machines in sight! A good thing if you have one, a bad thing if you are looking for one. Still a pretty good auction. The only really good deal I remember was a SF Alpha 3 for $625...Pretty good deal, I think.

Anyone know much about Virtual ON? I'm seeing it more and more and wondering if it has a cult following like Cyberball. It was made in '95 but they are all over the place! Looks like a pretty fun game to challenge too, once you know what you are doing!

4/4/99 11:33amPST - I forgot to mention this guys, but Shaks-D emailed me asking if he could use some of the page for his report on Cyberball! Wow! Wish I could see that presentation.

Added a new Tip to the TIPS link.

4/3/99 4:32pmPST - Hey, so guess what? I finally got to play David, another Cyberball fan! It was great! Thanks for driving all that way David! We should play again!

3/30/99 11:24amPST - Bet ya was wondering what happened the past few days, right? Well, I was still around, but I was busy since my fiance was up here visiting me and looking for jobs up here in San Jose! I know there was a Cyberball cab going for $400 no reserve on Ebay, but I was too busy to post! Sorry!! Oh well, I don't think it sold, so I suspect it will be back. I'll be trying to update my page some more this week!

Alright! Someone from Hawaii saw my page! Thanks for writing, Brandon! At the least, we can play when I ship that cab back home. You might have to wait a few years, though...:)

Cyberball has to be the best game ever created. Cyberball is best when played with 2 or more players. Cyberball was created by John Salwitz, back when he worked for Atari. Cyberball was created in 1988 and Tournament Cyberball was released a year later. Will they come out with an updated version of Cyberball? I hope not, unless they stay true to the game.
