August 10, 2002 - Happy Birthday to Daddy Doug!!! Mommy and Daddy just got back from a 4 day trip to Las Vegas and we had the best time! Kaitlynn stayed with Nana and Papa and had so much fun too! We did get some good news in the mail box upon our return! Ian's legal paperwork from Korea arrived at our agency on the 2nd! What that means is now they can start the state side paperwork with CO state and the INS! Once we get that done, it's 4-5 weeks until Ian is home! We are hoping for mid-October at this point!! We will keep everyone posted!!! Happy August!

August 21, 2002 - Hi all. Not much has happened lately. We are still waiting on the INS paperwork. We hope to have it by the middle of September. Our paperwork was approved by CO state on the 9th of August and our paperwork was sent to the INS on the 12th. Figuring they got it on the 13th, we are going to hope it gets here sometime between today and September 13th. :-) Then we can expect Ian home between October 13th and October 31st. Send some good thoughts to the Denver INS office that they process his paperwork soon!

August 24, 2002 - Well, tonight I started on the stenciling of Ian's room FINALLY! We have slowly been buying things (mostly off of EBAY! I love GYMBOREE!! HINT HINT!) and bought him 2 adorable Gymboree summer outfits today! Their winter stuff is really cute but of course, the summer stuff was on SALE! As far as his room goes, I hope to get it 75% done by Monday morning. LOL! My sister is throwing a baby shower for me on the 7th of September so that will be fun! We are registered at Babies R Us for anyone who wants to know. :-) I'll post photos of his room once it is done!

August 30, 2002 - Wait, wait, wait, wait, and wait some more. We are STILL waiting on our INS approval! They said it can take 4 weeks but we had Kaitlynn's in a WEEK! ARGH! I just wish something would go QUICK in this process. I so badly want my son home!!! Our friends Dana and John's son came home on Thursday amidst thunderstorms, rain, hail and TORNADOS!! He was 4 hours late getting in but he is sooo adorable!! I was so happy to be part of their Gotcha Day! Now I just want our son home so much more. His room is done and we are so ready for him to be here! Ian we miss you and love you so much! I hope like crazy our approval gets here this week!! Please everyone send good thoughts to the Denver INS!!!

August 31, 2002 - WE GOT OUR INS APPROVAL!!! I am sooo happy!! Of course, it's a 3 day weekend and AAC won't be open until Tuesday but we have it and it will get faxed on Tuesday and we hope he is home in the next 4-6 weeks!!! Oh MY GOSH!! I am so happy I am jumping up and down as I type this!!! Now we wait for THE CALL!!!

September 3, 2002 - I faxed our INS approval over to AAC today! They did receive it and will send it on to Korea. They said Ian will be home between the end of September and the middle of October! I cannot wait!! Now the waiting is HARD again!! We are sooo close to our son!!! His room is now done, my shower is Saturday and then we have only 5 more weeks until he is home. :-) I cannot believe we are finally, almost, there! Ian we cannot wait for you to come home! Your Mommy, Daddy and Big Sister LOVE YOU!!!

September 6, 2002 - Ian's room is completely set up now! Here are the photos to prove it! We are now at 5.5 weeks and counting. We cannot wait for our son to come home. I know he will get a lot of nice things at my shower tomorrow. It really doesn't seem that long ago that we were having my shower for Kaitlynn. My goodness, how time flies!

September 7, 2002 - A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who came to my baby shower yesterday! I had a wonderful, wonderful, time and we got so many nice gifts! I have finished setting up Ian's room now and added the lamp and the mobile. I'll take a photo soon! We had a great time and it was great to see everyone. Kaitlynn had fun playing with all of her friends too! Now, all we need is Ian to come home! :-) Soon, soon, I hope!

September 18, 2002 - It's been 11 days since my last update. Not much going on hence the reason I have been quiet. :-) His room is done, we have been shopping like MAD, Kaitlynn talks every day about what she and her baby brother are going to do when he gets here, I dream about him a lot and Daddy and I talk about him every day too. We know he is well cared for in Korea, but we want more than anything for him to come home! We have our pre-travel meeting on Friday and then Ian can come home anytime after that! We are still guessing his homecoming is about 4 weeks away but we can hope for sooner than later. The minute I know more, I'll update here!

September 20, 2002 - No, no travel news yet. We did go up to our Pre-Travel meeting at AAC today. It was a 2 hour class and went over the basics of what to expect and take with you to the airport and then a family came in with their new little daughter. We are still expecting him home around the 17th of October at this point. The director said she would try and ask about Ian the next time she called Korea but I don't know when that will be. If she finds anything out, I will let everyone know. For now, we are just figuring sometime the week of October 14th. Doug and I did get to go out for dinner and a movie date after the class. That was very, very nice. :-)

September 30, 2002 - Well, some sort of good news for the last entry of the month. AAC just called and said that the director had talked to Korea last night and asked about Ian. Apparently, Ian's passport is not done yet. :-( They expect it to be done sometime in the next 2 weeks. UGH. Then they can apply for his exit visa. So, they said we are still on track for the first couple weeks of October. When I asked about a travel date of 10/11 (2nd week of October), she said maybe. More likely the following week (true 2nd week of October according to them.) At least I know for sure, our son will be home by the end of the month. :-) It's been hard waiting this time around. Now at least there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. More when I know anything! Ian COME HOME SOON!
