Biography of the Pogo Attack

The old Pogo Explosion of early 1998

The Flying Cook Pogo Attack is a pogo punk ACT that has been around since late 1997, believe it or not. The original line up included Cook Jackson on vocals, Nick (of Victory Strike) on bass, Anthony Sac (ex-Pond Job) on Drums, and Steve Attack (ex-Cuffs) on Guitar.

By 1998, a new band was ready to record. The second version of the band switched Steve Attack to bass, and put Tim Pogo and J.C. (of the Cuffs) on guitar, and Flying J. (of Arch Rivals) on drums. The band recorded a demo in the spring of 1998 which is still avaiable from the band.

The Pogo Attack booked one show in August of 1998 in York, PA, but due to lack of focus by band members, who all were involved in other work, the attack pulled out.

In April of 2002, Flyin' J and Cook were sitting in the sun on a porch in La Mesa California getting drunk as shit on Tecate. They questioned themselves... Cook's Cuffs weren't very active anymore and Flyin' J's Arch Rivals all but ceased to exist. Why not put the Pogo Attack back together?

They began working on new material and added Crisy on vocals. Steve Attack was off at med school so a new bass player was needed. They asked Massy "Face" Ramo~ne of Los Ramo~nes to jump in. Face gladly jumped at the chance and changed his name to Face Attack.

In August of 2002, Crisy left the band for artistic differences... among other reasons. The Flying Cook Pogo Attack is once again reinvented and better than ever. To book the FCPA, e-mail Flyin' J at rudedogcentral13@hotmail.com
