JARL KULLE
A popular star of the Swedish stage and screen, Kulle played primarily comic roles for Bergman (Smiles of a Summer Night, The Devil's Eye).

GUNNEL LINDBLOM
A leading actress of the Swedish stage and screen, Lindblom has also directed films (Summer Paradise, 1977; Summer Nights on Planet Earth, 1987).

BIRGER MALMSTEN
The handsome, young leading man of Bergman's early period, Malmsten appeared primarily in theatre and television in later years.

MAJ-BRITT NILSSON
The quiet, sympathetic leading lady of Bergman's early period: "She could do anything. She did it instantly, and delivered her lines with absolute naturalness" (Ingmar Bergman).

STIG OLIN
The hero of Bergman's earliest films, and later a director of film comedies. He was the father of actress Lena Olin, who also worked with Bergman, primarily on stage with the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm.

NAIMA WIFSTRAND
A former singer and director of the Stockholm Opera, she later played small but highly entertaining roles on screen, such as the mother in Wild Strawberries and The Magician.
