Sugar and Spice - The Sequel

Written by Sugar

I woke up with my head in a total daze. I couldn’t remember if I had anything to drink the night before, and I was pretty sure that I hadn’t. I looked over at the bed beside me to find it empty. I listened closely and could hear the shower in the bathroom. I smiled to myself knowing that it would give me a few extra minutes to sleep in before Steffany would be out trying to wake me up. We had decided to go to Bush Gardens that day, and get Stef over her fear of extreme rides.

I threw my covers over my head as I heard the water shut off in the bathroom. A few minutes later, Stef appeared out of the bathroom with a towel over her body and her hair in one as well.

“Wake up sugar, we have to be at the park by the time it opens if you want to ride everything,” she always treated me as I was a child.

Although I guess I didn’t mind too much. “Why? Aren’t you supposed to be the one who doesn’t want to go?” I groaned pulling the covers off myself and sitting up in my bed.

“Get your butt in that shower now, so I can get dressed and so we can get to that park before ten,” she tried to command me, but in the end of her statement she smiled and laughed at herself.

“Fine, but if I’m crabby all day you can blame it on yourself for making me get up,” I laughed as I went into the bathroom and began my own shower.

When I came out Stef was drying her hair. I quickly dressed, and before long I was doing the same thing while she had since moved onto her make up.

“I don’t even know why I’m curling my hair, I’m just going to mess it up,” I said turning off the iron, and throwing my hair in a ponytail.

“Well you can always throw it up on the rides and then take it down afterwards.”

When we were set to go, I grabbed the keys to our rental car, and we went down to the valet to pick up our car.

“My my these valet boys are cute, maybe we could have a Nick de ja vue,” Stef joked as the cute high school aged boy brought our car to a halt in front of us.

Stef decided she’d be the driver, and I would read the directions I pulled off the internet. “Ok go north on I-275,” I told her as we approached the I-275 overpass.

“Take exit 33. Then go east on Busch Boulevard.”

We pulled into a long line of cars just outside the gates of Busch Gardens.

“Ten bucks for parking,” Stef complained.

I simply pulled out five bucks from my purse and handed it to her. She pulled out five from her purse and huffed when she gave it to the attendant whom in return gave us the parking ticket to put in our window.

“I swear this whole friggin state is a money pit. It costs us an arm and a leg to get anywhere in this state because of the toll roads, and then you have to pay for valet and parking everywhere you go, and then, just when you think you are done paying, they charge you to get the shit scared out of you on these thrill rides,” she professed annoyed.

We found a parking spot and got out grabbing our necessities from our purses so we wouldn’t have to cart them around the park all day.

We walked up to the ticket booth and waited as the lines slowly decreased. “I still can not get over last night,” I laughed.

“Oh my gosh, and you didn’t even have sex, what is wrong with you?” Stef joked.

I shrugged as I looked ahead of us to find that we were next in line. I looked at the two guys ahead of us and just shrugged it off, as they both had sunglasses on, when it was a little cloudy.

We both walked up and paid for our admission, and then met up with another long line of people trying to actually get in the gates of the theme park.

“I hate this hurry up and wait business too,” Stef said.

“So I take it you could never live in Florida?” I asked.

“I could, but you are going to have to commit me to a mental institution by thirty.”

“So what are we going to ride first?” I asked Stef as we finally got passed the gates.

“Something easy please.” I laughed as I looked at the map of the park.

“How about the Gwazi,” I laughed.

“What is that?”

“Don’t freak out, it’s a roller coaster, but it’s a wooden one, so it’s not that bad,” I tried to convince her.

“I guess that’s not too bad.”

We didn’t have to wait that long, because not many people were in line for it. We decided to ride the Lion coaster, instead of the Tiger Coaster.

I was standing talking about something in Cosmo, when we both heard

“Oh no way,” really loud. We both looked and couldn’t believe our eyes. Nick was standing there, this time with Brian.

“These are the two girls I told you about last night. Sugar and Spice? Trust me though, they are anything but nice,” Nick said to Brian with a smirk on his face.

“I see your doing well,” Stef said to him, noticing how well in doud he looked in his Sean John jeans he was wearing.

“Hi it’s nice to meet you,” Brian said trying to be the polite southern boy he was.

“So tell me what are your real names?” Nick asked. We both looked at each other and smirked.

“We’ll never tell,” Stef chastised.

“So who is who then?”

“Guess.” Stef was taking this mysterious vanity of our code names to a new level.

“Well let’s see, she looks innocent, so I’m assuming that she’s sugar,” Nick said pointing to me.

“What do I have a sign blinking above my head or something?” I asked.

“Ooh, hostility, I must be right.”

“So what brings you boys here?” Stef asked changing the subject.

“Well my boy here, B, he is down, his woman is being a typical female, so I figured that I’d try and and cheer him up. What about you guys?”

“Well since no clubs are open this early in the day, we figured we’d give this a shot in seducing guys, it’s a hobby what can we say?” Stef answered. She was always such a smartass.

We casually talked amongst ourselves until we reached the front of the line. We rode the ride, and the shrieks in Stef’s voice told me I was in trouble when we got off.

“What was all that noise?” Nick asked when we all got off the ride.

“It was the sound of me losing about to kill sugar here.”

“Oh come on, please don’t tell me that scared the crap out of you. I was hoping you’d stay with us the rest of the time today and ride the bigger rides.”

“Well what were you doing on this one then if that’s all your into?” Stef asked.

“Because you don’t go on the big rides first, that’s the number one rule in extreme thrill rides. You save the best for last, duh.”

Throughout the duration of the day, we rode all the roller coasters. When their was just one left to ride, Stef looked a little green.

“What’s wrong?” Nick laughed.

“No more, can we ride the Skyride or something that isn’t so thrill ride like?” Stef asked.

“No way am I getting on that sky ride,” Brian made his opinion clear.

“Well if you guys want, I’ll stay here with Brian if you two want to ride,” I offered.

“Well if you want to go I can hang out here,” Brian said.

“No that’s ok. What do you think Nick?”

“If I have to go on the skyride I guess I will,” he tried to act like it was a big deal.

“You suck at acting,” I laughed at him.

“You suck at trying to be alone with Brian,” he shot back.

I blushed a little, and even Stef laughed a little. I looked at Brian and he was a little blush himself.

“Whatever,” I muttered, even though everyone knew that it was true.

“Ok, so were do you want to meet?”

“Well we can meet you outside the Edge of Africa, because is right by the entrance, maybe we can grab a bite to eat after we leave or something,” Brian suggested.

“Oh don’t mention food right now,” Stef said. Nick laughed as he causally placed his arm around her shoulders.

“Don’t worry I’ll nurse you back to health,” he whispered in her ear.

She looked at me had a priceless look on her face. Nick and Stef walked off as me and Brian began walking towards the Edge of Africa.

It was awkward at first, but then he began to talk more freely.

“So you guys like Nick huh?” he asked jokingly.

“Aaaaa.” I said shaking my hand.

“He’s to wild for me. He’s perfect for Stef though. I don’t know how we became friends,” I laughed.

“So your innocence isn’t an act,” Brian laughed.

“I wish it was. Although on the other hand maybe not. A wise friend once told me that guys can tell by the way a girl walks if she’s worth trying to get her to sleep with him. I guess I walk the right way because I’ve never been put into a situation to tell a guy no.”

“Well that’s good though. I wish I would have waited.”

“So what are you so down about?” I asked.

“What do you mean?”

“Nick said you were down. Did your girlfriend do something?” I asked which caused a look of terror then anger to cross his face.

*Same Time*

“So where are you guys from?” Nick asked as the two boarded a gondola.

“Well I am from California, and she is from Colorado.”

“Sugar?”

“Yeah.” Nick looked into Stef’s eyes and it was amazing how much she could see right through him.

“So how were you able to do that all last night?” he asked.

“Like this,” she said as her lips glided accross his. He responded as if it were human nature, slowly reaching for her chest. Her hands reached down and felt his suddenly aroused member.

“Oh what are you trying to do cause trouble?”

“Yeah, that’s my middle name,” Stef smiled seductively as she began to explore his body. This time she unzipped his pants and reached through his boxers. He responded by doing the same to her, sticking his index and middle finger inside her fly.

Brian searched my eyes for something that would have given me the idea that his girlfriend was the sole reason of his depression.

“No, where did you get that idea?” he asked looking away from me. I could tell he was lying and that hurt me, that he would try and hide it, when it was so obvious he was hurting at her desperate grasp.

“Don’t lie to me Brian, I can see right through your words.”

“Look, your a total stranger, don’t think I’m just going to confide in you. After all you are just one of those girls who likes to seduce men and walk away.”

That truly hurt me. I couldn’t believe he was so quick to try and judge me.

“Where did you get that idea?”

“The way you and your friend treated Nick last night at the club.”

“Brian that was just dancing, it was a mood ok? I’m not a slut, so don’t sit there and try and judge me. After all your are a total stranger.”

Out of no where, Brian pushed me into a tree, slamming his lips onto mine. The kiss was passionate but yet so much force was behind it, maybe it was anger. He pulled away and I could see a hurricane of emotions dwelling in his eyes. It was partially regret and partially bliss.

“I’m sorry, but it’s hard for me to trust women. I didn’t mean to judge you.”

I didn’t say anything, I just pulled him into my lips again, this time it was a sweet kiss with no anger behind it.

“It’s ok. Do you want to talk about it?”

“Not really. Maybe sometime when we are in such a public place,” he grabbed my hand and we finished walking through the exhibit.

Nick and Stef were totally into each other. Stef began making trails of kisses around Nick’s neck. She left her tongue trace down over his clothes to where her hand was. She took Nick into her mouth as he tried with everything inside of him not to scream out in pleasure. As she started a pace, Nick grabbed her hair and tangled his fingers within it. He gently messaged her scalp in time with his pulsating. She could feel him getting closer, and she pulled off of him, and let her hand finish him off. Nick pulled her lips to his as he came, and moaned in her mouth.

“I swear you need to stop doing that,” Nick laughed as he tried catching his breath.

“Oh admit it Carter, you like it when girls turn you on.” Nick blushed a little before looking around the park.

“What’s wrong Nicky?” His eyes shot right back to hers. Only Howie called him Nicky. Even then he hated being called that.

“Do I look twelve to you?”

“No because then what we’ve just done would be illegal.” Nick lifted her chin and kissed her.

He then realized that he was growing attached to her, and quickly looked out at the park. Stef found it odd, and looked the other way as well.

“Well this is over, I guess we should sit here on the park bench and wait for them,” Brian said motioning for me to sit down.

“How long is that ride anyway?” I asked.

“You hate hanging out with me that bad?” he laughed.

“No, just making conversation.”

“Oh, well tell me about yourself,” Brian said trying to grant my wish.

“What do you want to know about?”

“Where are you from?”

“I’m from Colorado.”

“What part?”

“Well I live in Littleton.”

“Oh wow, that’s cool. So are you going to school?”

“Yeah, I’m a Sophomore at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.”

“Oh, is that how you know Spice?”

“We met through a mutual friend.”

“Can I ask a question?”

“Sure.”

“What is your real name?”

“Karen, but my friends call me Ren.”

“Oh, well it’s nice to meet you Ren,” Brian said extending his hand formally.

“Oh please, you don’t need to shake my hand,” I laughed.

“Well how about a hug?” he asked so innocently, it was the cutest thing.

“Sure.” I reached my arms out and it felt so good to be in his arms.

“Hey you two, ready to go get some grub?” Nicked asked as he and Stef walked up.

“Sure,” we both said in unison.

“Where did you park?”

“In the golden plated ten friggin’ dollar parking,” Stef said.

“Does she always bitch about everything?” Nick asked me.

“Yep.” Stef glared at me, as we found our car.

“Where did you guys park?” we asked, as we noticed that they had followed us to our car.

“Oh, over in that row somewhere. We are driving my blue Mercedes, where do you guys want to go for dinner?”

“I don’t know. You know this town a whole lot better than we do,” Stef pointed out.

“How about Cafe’ Waterside?” Nick asked.

“Sure. Do you guys want a ride to your car?”

“Why not.”

After dropping the boys off at their car, the atmosphere was a lot less tense.

“Stef, is something wrong?” I asked, now following the boys out of Busch Gardens.

“Nick is so friggin’ weird. I can’t believe him sometimes,” she spat out of no where.

“What do you mean?”

“Dude, up in that sky ride you will not guess what happened.”

“What?”

“We totally made out and I mean really made out. Then afterwards he totally ignored me, but he hinted that I did things to him not very many girls have done before.”

“Wow, I don’t know what to say.”

“I don’t understand why he would be so hot and then so cold.”

*Same Time*

“Nick what’s wrong? I sensed some tension between you and Spice.”

“Nothing is wrong alright?” Nick huffed.

“Don’t lie to me, I can see it, and I can hear it in your voice.”

“Look I don’t know what’s going on with me ok?”

“So why are you so angry?”

“I’m not angry I’m just frustrated. She makes me feel so many emotions, a lot of which I haven’t felt since me and Mandy were together. We both know where that relationship went, and I don’t want a repeat.”

“Nick you really cared for Mandy, she was the one who turned out to be a selfish girlfriend, that’s not to say that Spice is going to be the same thing. Besides who said you had to date her anyway?”

“My head, my heart? I don’t know it’s the same thing anymore. I really like her, maybe it’s just a fatal attraction,” Nick said as he merged onto I-275 South.

Fifteen minutes later we followed the boys into the Cafe’ Waterside parking lot. We pulled up right next to them.

“Ok, no more talking about us,” I joked as we got out.

Brian chuckled as he pulled me into his right arm. Nick and Stef walked awkwardly next to each other as we reached the front door. Brian opened the door for me, and Stef which I thought was so sweet.

We walked through the Mariott Waterside Hotel until we reached the cafe’.

“Table for four?” the hostess asked.

“Yes,” Brian said.

“Smoking or non?”

“Non please.”

We followed the host to a cozy booth in the back.

“So what kind of secrets did you guys spill about us in that car ride?” Brian asked.

“Nothing, besides if we were talking about you, do you think we are stupid enough to tell you?” Stef asked.

I scanned over my menu silent as did Nick. The waitress came to take our drink orders, and I could feel the tension rising between Nick and Stef.

After dinner we all walked out silent, not sure what to say.

“So what do you guys wanna do now?” Nick asked silently.

Stef shrugged and I looked at Brian.

“Let’s go back to my place then,” Nick said sighing.

Stef and I looked at each other and nodded.

“Stef why is there so much tension between you and Nick, I am your friend you can talk to me.”

“I don’t know, if I knew you’d be the first to know right now. I have no clue what’s going on now. We were fine until he did something that’s been bugging me.”

“What did he do?”

“After we were done making out, it was like I was of no interest to him anymore. He got what he wanted out of me, and that was it.”

“Well isn’t that what we did to him last night?”

“Yes...No...Sort of. That was different though.”

“Ok, maybe he was getting even or something.”

“I don’t know, but it’s annoying the hell out of me. I’m tired of playing games.”

*Same Time*

“Nick you can’t just ignore her. Did you happen to forget that we are going back to your house and they are right behind you?”

“I know, I’m not trying to ignore her, I just don’t know what to say.”

“Well a good start would be asking her name.”

Nick cackled, “I like her name as Spice, she does naughty naughty things when she is spice.”

“I don’t want to know.”

“Good because I’m never one to tell my dirty little secrets.”

An hour later we reached the gated community on Marbella Road. Nick keyed the code in and hurried through so we could be sure to make it before the gate came back down. We followed him through his neighborhood till we reached his spacious driveway. Nick opened and pulled into the garage.
