Artwork: Gorgeous packaging!! All photography is by Todd Wolfson, and the overall design is by Laura Scarborough. My cd came with 3 ruby diamantes down the spine of the jewel case, and a sprinkling of loose seed pods in the clear gap that is visible on the cover (seeds of desire perhaps?!). My friend's cd came with the diamantes, no seed pods, but an extra photo insert. The actual cd is silver & has a pretty b&w line art design (see left). The sleeve is folded, with the inner sleeve listing the album & track info. The background draped with another beautiful Todd Wolfson photograph. |

Dripping with seductive vocals, gorgeous keys, soulful guitars, and a heart beating rhythm section.
Desire sets the mood perfectly, and is probably the strongest track, although my personal favourite is
Moment Vs. Tomorrow, with it's trickling keys and soulful trumpet arrangement (Ephraim Owens).
Dreamscape Waltz is a beautiful instrumental, and ends with some inspirational whispers.
You and Me is one of the live tracks, and features the sitar and Middle Eastern inspired vocals. The other live track is
Find You, and is another of my favorites. It starts out with a dreamy jazz feel, and scatting vocals. The guitar solo tries to drag you away from that, but then the keys bring you back.
I favour the reprise This Or That mix (although it depends on my mood). The first one is more driving, with some serious weighing of consequences going
on, where as the reprise version is more mellow... very dreamy, and an excellent
closer ... and with her last breath Laura asks ... Why is it so hard to hold
back?...
Chapter One: Desire is without a doubt, poetry in motion, and a must on your frequent rotation list.
It has
already had so many spins in my CD player, that thank god I now have my second copy.
