My Brief Commentary:| This CD is the first CD album in Teach-In's story, - sampler released in 1990 by Dutch division of EMI - EMI Bovema, not by their "parent" label CNR. Sounds funny, but for "Famous Favourites" series EMI choose not really famous "Festival" (1975) album, but less-known "See the Sun" (1977, vinyl LP by EMI E.A.R. B.V./Negram, tracks 2-13 on the CD). That's true, it was the only one album of Teach-In they owned copyrights. The sampler contains also immortal "Ding-A-Dong" (Eurovision Song Contest Winner, 1975) and one of the last hits - "Dear John" (1979).In 1995 this CD was reissued in "Original Hit Recordings" series (same catalogue number, but different cover artwork) - L.D. |
