Basic Grooming

All Basic Groomings include 2 shampoos, premium conditioners specific to coat type and skin condition, and hand drying.

I use All Natural shampoos  * Exclusively in all of my grooms.  I  use this Exclusively on our show dogs and would not use anything less on your dogs! 

Also included is a brush and comb out, nail trim, tooth brushing, ear cleaning and expressing anal glands (if needed). *Optional Bow, Bandana and Nail Polish.

Stacy's Groom-N-Spa will only do all hand-drying, no cage drying. This is done for the safety of your dog (to prevent overheating), to allow Stacy to better assess the skin condition and to give a higher-quality finished look for your dog. 

Dogs do not have to be lifted, nor jump as I have an Electric Edemco Grooming table. 

I use high-velocity forced air dryers (No high heat) to speed drying time and give a beautiful finish. An added benefit of hand drying with high-velocity forced air is that dematting is dramatically decreased, as is stripping out of dead undercoat, which can be painful. I let the dryers do the work painlessly. Even if you do not come to Stacy's Groom-N-Spa, find out if your groomer does cage drying. Complete Grooms

All Complete Groomings include 2 shampoos, premium conditioners specific to coat type and skin condition, and hand drying, clippering, brush and comb out, nail trim, tooth brushing, ear cleaning and expressing anal glands (if needed). *Optional Bow, Bandana and Nail Polish.
I provided Complete Grooms for all breeds with a variety of pet clips available. I also provide show grooms for most breeds with few exceptions. A bath is required and included in the price. Call for Show Grooming Price Quotes.

You cannot bring your dog in for only a clip. 

If your dog has special shampoo needs, I can accomodate this,   except for prescription medicated shampoos, which you must provide. 

Maintenance Grooming -- those small things that may be needed to keep your dog looking it's best in between groomings.

These are my starting prices according to breed and breed type.

A starting price means average size according to breed, average coat according to breed and coat in good condition (minimal matting, minimal to average amount of dead undercoat, no de-skunking, no medicated/Oatmeal shampoo, needed).

Brushing/combing and minimal dematting, pedicure,tooth brushing and ear cleaning/plucking, with additional charges applying thereafter.

Difficult Dogs: I recommend any dog that is known to the owner as difficult during grooming, to allow me to try a slower approach like I do with puppies.  Sometimes the owner may need to stay for the entire grooming or just part of it. It maybe as simple as just seeing the owner there that makes it more comfortable.  Owners that do not warn me ahead or that do not know of difficult dog behaviors during grooming must understand I will muzzle any dog if need be for it's safety and mine. 

Dogs that show a tendency to bite, growl or jump at anytime during a grooming, I will muzzle or noose for it's safety and mine.  If the dog refuses or is difficult to handle the entire grooming, I will call the owner into the salon to help hold and calm the dog.  If the owner cannot calm the dog, I will not finish the grooming.  It is not fair to the dog or I to force it to do so. There will be a charge for what I have done so far and an extra charge of $20.00 for my time and efforts. 
 

Major Dematting:* Add $20.00 per hour to all grooms. 

  * I do not recommend major dematting. Doing so can make a dog's skin irratated, put your dog at risk for getting cut,  break hair and not worth putting a dog through.  It can make a dog never desire to like grooming again and turn a nice dog into a biter.-and for good reason! It is better for the dog to be clippered down and start with a fresh coat and clean skin and keep a routine for grooming.  I will only demat a dog one time and not again. This requires more time with me for the day and alot of work and patience.  I care about your dog's well being. Therefore, I will recommend coming in on scheduled visits and/or inbetween to keep your dog looking and feeling it's best. 

Puppy Grooming sessions:  All puppies have to learn sometime and it takes time to learn to trust someone to touch it all over and to groom it. I recommend after your vaccinations are complete, to have your dog spend 10-20 minutes the first few grooming sessions.  These shorter sessions will let the puppy become accustom to all aspects of it's breed grooming. I start with the puppy being touched, table training, combing/brushing. In between I stop encourage, praise, pet, kiss and love on your puppy.  The next visit, we may learn bath time, nail trimming, tooth brushing and ear cleaning, etc.  I found introducing this slowly to a puppy not only shows it what is happening, but by encouragement and repetition, your puppy learns to love it~!  Each puppy has it's own level of learning ability, so each puppy may not need as many visits to become accustom to grooming procedures as another.

Keeping your dog looking and feeling it's best all year around. A Punch Card will be punched for you each appointment you reschedule with me, starting with your first appointment.  You can save $5.00 on your next Complete Groom appointment or save it up for a FREE Complete Groom. Card must be present.
