Since her discovery in 1996, Soprano Lisa Forstmann has developed her natural, pure sound into a fully lyric soprano voice. Her elegant stage presence, impeccable diction, and acting skills have landed her other lead roles with SMU's MEADOWS OPERA THEATER, including Lucy (The Telephone), Mary Warren (The Crucible), Anna Maurrant (Street Scene), and Lady Billows (Albert Herring).
Lisa Forstmann is also a METROPOLITAN OPERA NATIONAL COUNCIL Western Regional First Place Winner (2002), the First Place winner of the EL PASO OPERA'S Laureen Butler Vocal Competition (2002), and the Third Place winner of the DALLAS OPERA'S Career Grant for opera singers (2002). Last spring, Ms. Forstmann performed Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone with El Paso Opera's Artist-in-Residency. For more details, see RÈSUMÈ.
