One
day, in class 7, Sister Mercedes told us a story about a former
student and how impressed she was with that particular girls courage
to step forward and admit to her faults when it was time to confess.
I cannot recall the exact story, but I do know that so strong were
her words that from that day, the importance of doing the right
thing and having the courage to face the consequences of our mistakes
was passed onto me.. This one incident has left an impact on my
life so much that i remember it even today. Amazingly, the moral of this one
particular incident is applied by me even to date.
It was with Sister Mercedes that was used to go to Micheal Mountain
for our character building classes. We were told to find a spot
where we were to sit alone and "contemplate".
We dont know much about sister's background other than that she
is from Ireland.
