The main character of the game, Crono, is an excellent fighter. He has a fine swordmanship skill with the katana. His magic spells are well rounded too.
Crono lives in Truce Village (1000 AD) with his mom. Nothing is known about his dad as he is never mentioned at all throughout the game. For all we know his dad is dead. Also, for some reason, Crono is mute during the entire game, the only time he says anything is during one of the many different endings of the game.
The first time we see Crono is the morning of the "Millenial Fair". He's excited about attending the fair and hardly gets any sleep the night before. The impression given about Crono is that he is a quiet guy with his only friend being Lucca. As he wakes up that morning, wondering what the day will hold, you can be sure that traveling through time and saving the world from total destruction was not exactly what he had in mind...
