Here's an interesting item I picked up at a yard sale. It's a painting of Peter Lorre by Margaret Keane.

I'm unsure of the date, but it seems likely this was painted early in her career. Peter Lorre could have very well furnished her with the original inspiration for her series of big eyed waif pictures that were so popular at one time!
