222. Michael8 Furniss (Maire7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) He married Marie Leiterman in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Frank J. Leiterman and Ethel M. [-?-]. They were divorced at Boise, Idaho. Michael Furniss and Marie Leiterman had two sons.[182]
He was married in Nevada to Sandy [-?-]. They adopted a child.

Sean Barry8 Furniss (Maire7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) [184] He received his bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University, Arcata, California. He received his master's degree in Wildlife Ecology at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon.
Sean served in the U.S. Army as a basic training instructor at Fort Ord, California, and in South Viet Nam at Camp Evans, 30 miles south of the Demiliterized Zone with Co. C, 1st Battalion, 506th Light Infantry, in the third brigade of the 101st Airborne Division. He received a bronze star while serving in Viet Nam.
He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia, South America, where he conducted ornithological studies at the Carimagua Experimental Station in the Department of Meta in the eastern llanos of Colombia.
He has spent most of his career working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. His duty assignments included the Klamath Basin Refuges in southern Oregon and northeastern California, Malheur Refuge in southeastern Oregon, the Imperial Refuge along the Colorado River in southern Arizona and California, the Caribbean Islands Refuges in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and at the Division of Refuges office in Washington, DC. For nine years he served as the first project leader for the Caribbean Refuges and spent four years as the principal investigator of the sea turtle research project at Culebra, Puerto Rico. He has published papers about birds and has presented papers at a number of professional meetings.[185]

Maureen Ruth8 Furniss (Maire7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in film production in 1983 and Master of Arts degree in film management in 1987 from San Diego State University. In 1994, she completed her doctorate in critical studies from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television. Her dissertation, "Things of the Spirt: A Study of Abstract Animation," reflected her specialization in American film history and animation.
She has taught at the University of California Santa Cruz, University of Southern California, San Diego State University and Orange County's Horizon High School. She founded and publishes the Animation Journal , the only peer reviewed, scholarly journal devoted to animation history and theory. She began teaching at Chapman University in January 1996. Her book on Film History was published in 1998.[192]
227. Aileen8 Kaye (Catherine7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) She is the adopted daughter of Catherine Keenan and Terrance Kaye. [193]
She was married 10 July 1982 at St. Augustines Catholic Church, Vancouver, Canada, to Mark Foster. Mark worked as a truck driver. Mark was the son of Philip Foster (born Bath, England) and Margaret Jane Fleming (born Vancouver, British Columbia). He died of a heart attack in July 1994 at Vancouver, British Columbia at age 37.[194]
230. Ray8 Crosthwaite (Joan7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) He was born at Isleworth, Middlesex, England. Ray was "educated at King Edward VI School in Lichfield. ... Ray was captain of the cross country running team and won medals for 800 yard race yearly."[195] He studied dentistry and practices at Reading, England.
He was married at Godalming, Surrey, England, to Julia Watt. She is a nurse.[196]
131. Moria8 Crosthwaite (Joan7, Catherine6, Edward5, John4, Andrew3, John2, Richard1) Moria was born while her mother was staying with her sister Maire Keenan and her family in Oklahoma. Moira was "... educated at King Edward VI School in Lichfield. ... Moria also has many medals for 400 and 800 yard races." She trained for a career in nursing at Great Ormand St. Hospital in London, England.[197]
She was married on 18 June 1983 at Lichfield, England to Damien Toman.[198] The family emigrated from England to New Zealand about 1990.
