This first section covers a variety of things about the community, such as Money, Places, and things to do.

Also included are verbs that apply to this chapter.


Money

This chapter uses money in two seperate ways: To teach the higher numbers, up to a thousand, and as an activity.

Keep in mind that ciento means one hundred.

Money-Related Vocabulary List


Amounts

ciento - one hundred
doscientos - two hundreds
trescientos - three hundreds
cuatrocientos - four hundreds
quinientos - five hundreds
seiscientos - six hundreds
setecientos - seven hundreds
ochocientos - eight hundreds
novecientos - nine hundreds
mil - one thousand

Note that for most of these, you simply combine the number and ciento to make the new amount.
dos + ciento = doscientos

Also...

Money is el dinero.
to deposit money - depositar dinero
to withdraw money - sacar dinero
the bank - el banco

Also included in chapter ten are some past-tense verbs, such as saque(I took) and hice(I did). More on that later, though.

So, a sample sentence using money would be: Fui el banco por dinero.
(I went to the bank for money.)

I have grouped activities together with their corresponding nouns for easier reference.

si - if, whether

* - Remember that la tarde means afternoon or evening.
